Yes you can change story, icon, year label and background color and text size, you can also add year inside circle but it is not possible to add year in place of icon.
Year label is only supported in shortcode block.

There might be a CSS and JS conflict with one of your plugins.
Please check your console, you are also getting error in one of your plugins.
Please try deactivating all your plugins one by one and see which plugin is causing the issue.
Please try the custom css shared below to solve the timeline display issue.

There is a conflict with your theme.

Please try to change the priority of the content length inside the code.

Go To: plugins\cool-timeline\includes\shortcodes\story-timeline\cool-timeline-shortcode.php at line no 23 and change to priority 999 to 9999 click here for more details.

There may be a conflict with one of your plugins or themes.
Please try deactivating all your plugins one by one and see which plugin is causing the problem and also try with another theme.

1. You can use Cool Timeline without using Elementor or Blocks.

2. The custom CSS field is working properly and our current version does not support the editor role for editing the story.

3. Go to Timeline Settings and then set the Open read more link? to New Tab, Click here for more details.

Our free version does not support this feature as we are using WordPress default standard to display our posts and cool_timeline is a post type so there is now way to archive page.
