In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-Three] Where did my fonts go?Looks like I had to go in and manually reactivate Google Fonts, then manually reinstall and re-select the fonts for my text and headers. Cripes, what a nuisance.

In reply to: AI Assistant in block editorYes, someone else tipped me off, and it turned out that it was in fact a “feature” of Jetpack. I’ve turned it off, but it shouldn’t be in there to begin with.

In reply to: Query loop posting latest post text under older post headlinesI don’t have the Gutenberg plugin.

In reply to: Query loop posting latest post text under older post headlinesI’m not sure how or why this worked, but I turned on the “Inherit query from template” setting in the query loop block, and that seems to have cleared the problem up.

In reply to: Query loop posting latest post text under older post headlinesI also notice that it’s not doing this with the query loops on tag or archive pages. This is happening only on the home page.

In reply to: Query loop posting latest post text under older post headlinesNo, I haven’t. Are you saying that the headlines and texts match on your own blog, or that you’re looking at my blog and not seeing the problem?
Here’s what’s still happening on my own blog:
- Visit themonstersknow.com. You’ll see that the latest post is titled “Unspeakable Horror Tactics,” and the text begins, “Sorry for my silence.”
- Scroll down past the fifth post and click on “Older Posts.”
- Now the top post on the page is “Dullahan Tactics.” However, the text beneath it still begins, “Sorry for my silence.” This isn’t the case with the other posts on the page, just the top one.
- Scroll down and click on “Older Posts” again. Now the top post is “Death’s Head and Boneless Tactics,” and again, the text begins, “Sorry for my silence.”
- Click through on the title. The text on the actual post page is correct, beginning, “Hello, hello!”
This is continuing to happen even though I just wrote and posted a new post yesterday. The repeated text on each page was updated with the text of the new post, but the glitch remains.

In reply to: Multiple readers seeing admin bar on pageI did notice that I had another plugin called A2 Optimized WP. I’ve turned that off.
There’s also something in my general settings called “Endurance Cache,” set to “Normal (Level 2).” Should I turn that off as well?
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Multiple readers seeing admin bar on pageI don’t have any other caching plugin.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Multiple readers seeing admin bar on pageThe caching plugin is disabled. I have to disable it, because it causes Twenty Twenty-Three to display incorrectly.
Desired result finally achieved! Thank you very much!
So this is interesting: In the theme editor, it doesn’t appear to have changed anything. On the actual site, however, the Site Title now displays at the appropriate size even when set to work as a link.
However, it also displays an unattractively thick underline when I mouse over the link. Is there any way to make the Site Title an exception to normal link highlighting rules?
It’s actually already set to Huge in the block editor in exactly the way you suggest. Doesn’t matter. As soon as I click on “Make title link to home,” the Site Title shrinks to text size. When I unclick it, it pops back up to Huge.
So the CSS snippet worked on the Post Title, but it didn’t work on the Site Title. With that, I’m experiencing the same issue as before. Is it because the Site Title is in the header, maybe?
ETA: Oddly, in the theme editor, it looks like it didn’t work on the Post Title, either. But the site itself, when I load it, displays properly.

Yes, I’m using Home on the front page, I haven’t added custom CSS (I don’t know how), and I haven’t edited any of the theme files.
Modifying the Post Title font size didn’t help. Different baseline, but same issue.
I’ll try your trick and see whether it works.
