I just want to make sure I understand. Are you saying that the plugin does or doesn’t work with WP 4.9?
I changed WP_DEBUG to true. Where can I find the WP_DEBUG_LOG file?
Is there a way to go back to the SSP version before 1.18.1? From what I see in the plugin description, the new version doesn’t work with the newest update of WordPress, 4.9. That could explain the issue…
Thank you for getting back to me!
We are using SSP Version 1.18.1.
Where in the wp-content folder would I find the debug.log file?
UPDATE: It looks like there are only four episodes that are not playing in iTunes and our other platforms, and yet others can be played.
Yet, all episode posts on our website are not showing up or loading.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Deactivating SSP Plugin to update WP/ThemeMy plan to switch to the theme we’ve been wanting, Divi, sort of worked today, as I deactivated all plugins, then updated them while they were deactivated, in order to update WordPress.
But now, when I’m ready to start rebuilding the website with Divi, I experienced the same logging in and out issue/needing to request a password every time, even though WP, plugins, and Divi and the Divi builder are all updated.
So, I removed Divi and activated the WP 2017 theme and I haven’t been logged out yet. I think there may be an issue with the Divi theme and Seriously Simple Podcasting.
Do you know of this theme and any issues it has with the plugin?
I would appreciate all help on this!

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Deactivating SSP Plugin to update WP/ThemeI ran into issues updating our site with a new theme and if I can’t solve it, the worst case scerino, we have to start from scratch. My concern is losing our RSS feed and podcast episodes that we have through SSP. Is there a way to keep in tact, our feed, stats, and podcast episodes, and move the entire plugin to a new WP site without starting over or disrupting anything?

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Deactivating SSP Plugin to update WP/ThemeThanks Craig! I’ll let you know what happens.
I do need additional advice/help…
Have you had others that use SSP on a theme called Divi?
*As a side note, this is a website solely dedicated to a podcast. My main concern is to keep in tact, our RSS feed. We do not want to start from scratch or lose the feed.*

I do have one clarifying question. Before I update WP first…do I need to deactivate the plugins?
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Deactivating SSP Plugin to update WP/ThemeAlso, when we tried to install the new theme about 3 months ago, I kept getting logged out of WP, and had to request a new password in order to login. This happened well over 20 times until I gave up and switched back to our old theme and site. Is this due to the plugin 500 error? If I updated it to 1.17.3 (we have 1.16.2 right now) which is the newest, will there be any additional issues?
Is there any word on the new update being implemented?
Hi Craig,
That is great news! How soon do you think you’ll have the update? My only concern is that iTunes is requiring HTTPS feeds in the immediate future and I don’t want to have an issue with our feed being kicked off of iTunes or something similar to that.
We received our SSL cert from our website host, 1&1.com.
Thanks,
Anna
In addition, the only thing that I see that could maybe be tripping up Podtrac is that in the feed – there is a link back to our website which is not https, even though our website has been moved to HTTPS.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Validation Error After Going To HTTPSAccording to our contact at Podtrac, our feed that is put through Seriously Simple Podcasting (and then mirrored through Podtrac) needs enclosure URLS that are updated to HTTPS.
Is this something that can be done? Our website has been updated to HTTPS, so I was assuming that the XML file would be updated as well.
I look forward to help on this.
