Thank-you for your quick response. So amazing to get such a quick and thoughtful response to my problem! Great to know your suggestion for future reference – (to download theme to Notepad/Dreamweaver).
I did find the error of my ways, just after posting my problem in the forum. I looked in the theme file footer.php and found the letter nj just in front of the initial tag (<?php> in the file.
I had added Google Analytics code to this file and by accident, added the nj. Must have been leaning on those side by side letters. Anyway I took the nj out and voila – problem solved! Yeh!
