Hi Jeremy,
SSL certifiate purchased with the hosting company with a permanent 301 redirect setup from the server – not using any plugin.
I did suspect HTTPS at first too, I deactivated the 301 redirect back then when the issue started but it made no difference – and ditto today. I tried in Chrome, Firefox and Chrome.
Sometimes the Twitter button and counter don’t even load and I get the usual Chrome icon displaying a ?? emoticon instead of it.What do you think?

Or alternatively: is there a way I can block BACS as a payment option for specific product categories, hence forcing Paypal gateway only for said specific categories?

Thanks, it works wonders! Just to be on the safe I also tested putting a free and a paid product in my cart and checked out: in that case, all fine, the checkout form is back and an invoice is generated.You’re a star! Thank you very much!

AnneStrike that – I’m experimenting with another page and I narrowed down the problem: products only show in “start=”open” panes. Is this normal? (I mean, did you design it this way on purpose? If yes, is there any way around it so products show in any panes?)

Sorry for the belated reply – and thanks for yours!
I confess I did not deactivate all plugins again – I have an e-commerce website running with Woocommerce and the first time I deactivated all plugins, I did not realize this would undo all settings – people could not download their purchases anymore :pBut you were a great help with the last plugin installed hint – and it was the culprit indeed. It was the plugin “shortlinks for Jetpack sharing buttons” – https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/jetpack-shortlinks-for-sharing-buttons/
I deactivated it, et voilà…Thanks and cheers! ??

It seems to affect only older pages/posts or products: newly creates ones are working just fine. For example this page https://alexandria-translation-resources.com/resources-for-translation-providers/glossaries/concrete-technology-glossaries/ was created last week and the FB button showed straight away.With all other plugins deactivated, the button was back everywhere though, once reactivated it’s gone again (for example https://alexandria-translation-resources.com/product/medical-translation-102-ema-templates/)
Do I need to install a caching plugin, or…?

Basically they open the chat window and type in their message, and then the chat loads for ages – I’m not getting a notification that they’re here on the admin side. Only if they refresh the page do the messages come through.
Ditto for my replies, they are not getting them unless they hit “Refresh”. Like I said, only in IE – chat works beautifully in Chrome Firefox, etc.I know… how people can still use IE is a mystery to me too ?? ?? but many of my clients still do…
