In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-Two] Cannot delete itHey @fcarriere. Are you trying to delete the theme itself? If so, you need to change to a different theme and then, from there, you can follow these instructions:
1) Log in to the WordPress Administration Screen.
2) Select the Appearance screen then Themes.
3) Select Theme Details for the theme you want to remove.
4) Select Delete near the bottom-right corner.Forum: Reviews
In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-Two] Not very handyHey @esarakinos. Apologies for the delay in responding here. In case it helps, I wanted to flag that there’s a course on Simple Site Design with Full Site Editing that uses the Twenty Twenty-Two theme. I highly recommend checking it out ??

In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-Two] You buried stuff I needHey @ecsproull as you noted, the experience is a big departure! As @wellbeingtips said though, it’s all there once you enter Appearance > Edit. This change in experience is because the Twenty Twenty-Two theme is the first ever block theme, using full site editing features. If you’re looking to get comfortable with this new way of site building, I highly recommend this course on Simple Site Design with Full Site Editing.

In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-Two] The worst theme everHey @developer32 — do you have any specific feedback around what’s made it so bad from your point of view? I’d love to share resources to ease the experience and ensure any specific pain points are noted (or confirmed they already have been).

In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-Two] doesn’t work with bbpress and zero supportHey @robin-w. I highly recommend posting directly on bbpress’ site to get help from the developers there: https://bbpress.org/forums/forum/templates/ They are in the best position to guide you on whether a block theme like Twenty Twenty-Two will work with bbpress/what plans there are to ensure compatibility.
As WordPress continues to roll out Gutenberg like some religion, ignoring that it is not so complex as to be unusable (witness over 5 million users of the classic editor plugin), the lack of any support for what is billed as it’s first true block theme is very lamentable.
If you’re open to it, I run a program called the FSE outreach program that’s dedicated to improving the Full Site Editing experience by gathering feedback from WordPress site builders. This is done through regular calls for testing, feedback summary posts, hallway hangouts to discuss work in more depth, open Q&As, and more. I’d love to have you join as there’s tons of work underway to improve the entire experience of using blocks, including with full site editing. There’s more information here if you want to evaluate it: https://make.www.ads-software.com/test/handbook/full-site-editing-outreach-experiment/

In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-Two] bad themeHey @viver2115. Can you say a bit more about which elements you’re trying to change and what happens when you do so? In case it helps, there are loads of support resources that you might want to explore:
– Site Editor: an editor that allows you to edit all parts of your site, navigate between templates, and more.
– Styles: a feature that allows you to customize your site, including individual blocks, as much as you’d like with different colors, typography, layouts, and more.
– Templates: edit, create, and manage templates that a page or posts uses.
– Template parts: a way to organize and display groups of blocks as part of a block template mainly for site structure, like Headers and Footers.
– Theme blocks including the Navigation Block, Query Loop block, and more.I hope this provides more insight, albeit later than I’d like to have provided!

In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-Two] Don’t do it@droyed Whew, I’m bummed you’re having such a tough experience. When you say it broke your site, what specifically happened? For example, did you lose content or did your site show a white screen or did your site show a specific error? Working with your host and some developers seems wise as does trying to deactivate plugins to rule out a plugin conflict.

In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-Two] Not Enough 1 Star ReviewsHey @eiie. Thanks so much for taking the time to share your honest feedback. For functionality, can you share specifically what you find missing? I’d like to ensure it’s noted in GitHub where we track feature requests and bugs.
For everything else, you’re right that this is a big shift in terms of what it means to build a site. This is because the Twenty Twenty-Two theme is the first ever block theme, using full site editing features. If you’re looking to get comfortable with this new way of site building, I highly recommend this course on Simple Site Design with Full Site Editing.

In case it helps too, here’s the most recent high level recap of feedback others have about the current experience with block themes and full site editing. I hope your concerns are reflected there.

In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-Two] homepageHey there @basscan !
>How do i set a page to be the homepage?
Check out this support article section: https://www.ads-software.com/support/article/site-editor/#how-to-update-what-your-homepage-displays
I helped write it so curious if it does or doesn’t answer your question.
>If so, I’m having the same problem. I don’t see how to apply the template. My only choices are Default, Page (large header), Page (no separators) or Blank.
This is intentional as it follows the WordPress template hierarchy as far as I know: https://developer.www.ads-software.com/themes/basics/template-hierarchy/#home-page-display Essentially, that template is reserved for your homepage, unless you create a Front Page template which will override that as an option.

In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-Two] Unable to preview 2022 themeHey @zonetuke! Great question. Currently, the preview option is removed because the Twenty Twenty-Two theme doesn’t use the Customizer which powers this option since it’s a block theme:
In the future, work is being done to allow for a way to easily preview block themes too though ??

In reply to: [Gutenberg] El peor EDITOR de wordpress de todos los tiemposHey there, @dragondeluz. Thank you for sharing your feedback and for using WordPress for so long. I used Google Translate to translate your message. I hope that’s okay! I know in your message that you said you don’t have another way to explain why the writing experience was so bad. I wrote some feedback in GitHub recently about the writing experience: https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues/34664 Does this touch on some of your pain points? If not and you’re able to, I’d love to know more about what’s been made more difficult.
