In reply to: [Gutenberg] Slows down my website@tudrohesto Thank you for sharing about your experience. If you don’t mind me asking, have you tried deactivating various plugins to see if something might be conflicting with your site causing the experience to slow down? It sounds like a plugin conflict based on what I’ve seen with other people’s sites. As for the navigation, I’d love to hear more specifics if you can share them (what aspect of navigation?). Keep in mind too that this review is for the Gutenberg plugin itself and that you don’t need to use it unless you’re interested in being somewhat of an early adopter of features: https://www.ads-software.com/news/2021/04/become-an-early-adopter-with-the-gutenberg-plugin/

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Bad user experience@lindakong I am so bummed to hear you’ve had a rough experience. What exactly about the experience made it difficult to implement your design? Any feedback you have will help us improve the experience going forward.

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Difficult to use@luong-quang-vinh Thanks for your feedback. Was there anything in particular that made the plugin bad to use? I’d love to learn more.
Of note, in many cases, you don’t need to use the Gutenberg plugin if you’re just looking to use the block editor as it comes packaged with each release: https://www.ads-software.com/news/2021/04/become-an-early-adopter-with-the-gutenberg-plugin/

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Basic things not possibleThanks for making this video, Jamie! If you have other pieces of feedback or run into other problems, @vincenz17, I’d be keen to hear them. Feel free to share here or directly in GitHub if you can replicate a specific issue: https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Columns/Groups/Blocks Icon are STUPID!@astralliquid thanks for your feedback – I’m bummed you’re having such a bad experience. Can you explain a bit more what you’re finding tricky? It sounds like it might be navigating between levels of content. If so, I’d recommend using List View:

Otherwise, please know that you’re welcome to open specific issues in the Gutenberg repo:

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Update will Crash WordPress SitesHey @purple32! Are you still experiencing issues with Gutenberg 11.5.1? You can also test out 11.6RC, which will be launched on Wednesday? https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/releases/tag/v11.6.0-rc.1 Would love to hear more about what went wrong and make sure it gets properly reported to the Gutenberg repo: https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues
In any case, keep in mind that you don’t need to use the Gutenberg plugin in order to get the latest for the block editor:
Hopefully this article helps you determine whether it’s best to use the plugin on your site!

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Burn the wordpress & communityHey @vickycodeaddict. If you have specific pieces of feedback about the experience, I’d love to hear them. Please keep your feedback about ideas/features/etc rather than the people who create them. You might find this post on whether the Gutenberg plugin makes sense for you to use too as you’ll naturally get the latest in each WordPress release without needing to use this plugin specifically:

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Seriously, this is utter junk.@melroy thanks for chiming in here. I totally get it can take time to adjust! In case it helps, here are a few courses you can take to learn how to use the block editor:

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Seriously, this is utter junk.@gotfiero Thanks for taking the time to pass along the feedback. Like you, I often dive into my dad’s website so nice to know others are doing the same.
If you’re open to it, I’d love to hear a little bit more about what could make the experience better. As you found, Gutenberg is meant to be a visual editing experience not requiring folks to dig into any code to do what they’d like. What was going wrong that you were trying to resolve? Any information you can provide would be great so I can make sure any bugs are properly opened or your feedback is passed along.

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Empty blocks Nightmare!!!Hi @sermalefico! You should be able to delete the blocks as you would any other – using the delete button, using the three dot menu to select the option to Remove Block, selecting the block and hitting the delete button.
Can you send a screenshot of what’s going on or, better yet, open an issue here?
https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues
Thank you!

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Плохо@etilen Hey there! I am using Google Translate to understand your rating. Hope that’s okay :). Feel free to reply in whatever language works best for you. Was there anything in particular that made this experience terrible? What could be done to improve? Any specifics you can give would be great!
Hey @webweavertoo. I’m bummed to hear you had such a rough time with the latest WordPress upgrade for 5.8. Of note, there are a few ways to opt out that I want to mention in case you still want to take advantage of the rest of the latest and greatest in the WordPress release but not use the block widgets editor yet: https://www.ads-software.com/support/article/block-based-widgets-editor/#how-to-opt-out
>My clients’ beautiful new website was broken, with extra widgets scattered all over the sidebar and across the content area of all my pages too. What a nightmare.
By chance, can you open an issue here with more information?
https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues
I’d love to make sure whatever went wrong gets tracked down and resolved as it relates to this new editor, especially based on what you described. What theme were you using? What plugins? What errors were you seeing that you can pass on? Thanks in advance if you’re open to sharing more context. I’m glad you were able to work with your host to resolve this regardless.

In reply to: [Gutenberg] BAD (WORST) Plugin ever, it broke my widgets badly@androidscientist thank you for taking the time to share your honest thoughts here. I’m bummed to know you are having such a tough experience. Please keep in mind that most people don’t need to use the Gutenberg plugin itself in order to get the benefits of the block editor since Gutenberg releases are bundled into WordPress releases. Here’s an article that goes into more detail that might be helpful to decide whether you need to use it:
In terms of the issues with widgets, what exactly is going wrong? If you can provide more information or open an issue in the repo below, it would allow us to take a further look: https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues This is an area that’s under active iteration so I’d love to learn from your experience.

In reply to: [Gutenberg] blocks messed up wp now the widgets@hmmcrunchy I’m bummed to hear you’ve had such a rough experience. I can see why this would be so frustrating. Please keep in mind that you do not need to use the Gutenberg plugin in order to take advantage of the block editor and the features that come with it. Here’s a brief post that might help clarify when it makes since to use Gutenberg vs when to just rely on what’s bundled into the WordPress releases:
Separately, here’s the support article for the new block widgets editor:
While you can opt out of the experience, I would love to know what further problems you’re having. If you’re open to it, you can create an issue here: https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues
