What was your Polylang URL problem? Maybe I could be facing the same issue.

In reply to: [Connect Polylang for Elementor] Archive Templates dont both workHello @p4fbradjohnson @patbell101,
I recently encountered an issue with Polylang and the Elementor page builder.
My default language is in English and my second language is French. Please note that all my pages have already been translated into French. I would like for my search results to appear for both languages but currently, they only seem to search for English results regardless if you are on the French version of the site. At the moment I have 2 individual archive templates, one in English and one is French. My issue is that my french archive template appears to be in English even though I am on the French version of my site.See the link: https://postimg.cc/MnvmrQQp
Note that i have not set any conditions to the French archieve page.
I am certain that is also causing my search form to not function properly.
What could be the issue?Any support on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Hey @vinod-dalvi,
Sorry I was referring to the search form with the magnifying glass that is beside the nav menu. I like the concept of having my search form beside my nav menu but when I open the search field it interferes with my nav menu. Is there a way where the search bar could expand the nav menu the moment the magnifying glass icon is clicked on? I can provide an example if you would like. It’s just so that the search field doesn’t overlay the Nav menu unless you have a different solution?
Thanks,
@jessizollero Yeah I recently installed Ivory search and if you go to the
plugin setting > Menu Search, and if you make sure to display the menu search option on your chosen nav menu, the search form will work on all the languages. Let me know if you gather up more info on this topic. I have been facing this issue for a while now and no one seems to have any results.Hello,
I am encountering an issue with Polylang’s language switcher widget.
I recently translated my website from English to French. (Please note that the default language for my site is in English)
Notice in the screenshot below that I placed the Polylang switcher in my English Header template and customized it to my preference.

note that up until now, I have not faced any issue.
I then translated my English header template to French. See the screenshot below.

Now that I created a separate french template, I would like to customize it within Elementor. See the image link below.
https://postimg.cc/tYjdh5Fh
Notice that in the screenshot above, I choose to hide the current language, which essentially would be French since I created a French template. I would like for the language switcher widget that is on the French version of my site to display English so for anyone who is on the french site and would like to go visit the English version, they would have the option through the language switcher. This issue may also be affecting my french search results from not displaying any content yet if I search for a specific term in English, all the results related to that word appear.
My site is hosted locally, therefore not allowing me to share my URL.
Thank you,@jessizollero, I am facing the same issue as you. Would you happen to know if your language switcher is working properly? Also, are you using the Elementor page builder? I found out that if you use the default WordPress search form widget, your search results for both your languages will appear. Only issue with using the basic WordPress search form is that it is not customizable…
Alright sorry for any confusion. Thank you I would really appreciate that!
Does the issue that you resolved affect both the multilingual issue and the menu search form not resizing? Thanks,
What does the link above do and where do I place that short line of code? Perhaps this is the reason why the ivory search form wont find search results in french?
Thanks,
Hello, @vinod-dalvi hope all is well.
I am having difficulties comprehending your first sentence regarding Polylang, would you mind expanding on that topic?
I have included a screenshot below which includes both ivory search widget and the menu search form.

The menu at the top bar doesn’t find any results when I search for a term on the french version of my site whereas the menu search form will. Also, Notice how I changed the menu search form style as mentioned in your previous message and the search bar still interferes with my menu.looking forward to hearing from you,

In reply to: [GeneratePress] Stylizing Search FormThank you gentlemen.
Please note that the magnifying glass that is beside my nav menu finds the correct results in both languages.

This widget could be added through the ivory search settings > menu search.
I would like to customize this search bar to appear on one line and not interfere with my drop-down menu.

Hello @vinod-dalvi
Unfortunately, my site is being hosted locally therefore not allowing me to share my URL at this moment. To reply to your previous message, the content on my site is English which is my default language and if I wanted to head over to the french version of my site I would use my language switcher. See the link below.
https://postimg.cc/RqWP0Pvd
Once I click on the language switcher, I get redirect to my french site. Please note that up until now everthing is how it should be. see Link Below.

Notice How I am on now on the french version of my site. Now I will use the Ivory seach form widget and place it directly on my nav bar. See screenshot below.
https://postimg.cc/Sjqg6WbF
After placing the widget and updating the changes in my Elementort page builder, I will refresh my French home page to show you that the Search bar has been added.
See image Below

Now if i enter a comman french term in the Ivory search form that is on the french version of my site, I get redirect to the english search results page when i would like to get directed to the french search term that i entered.Thank you,

In reply to: [GeneratePress] Stylizing Search Form@edge22 Hello Tom, I apologize, I meant to say CSS code. I was uncertain whether I had to place the CSS code in the Elementor page builder or my themes.
Thanks,

In reply to: [GeneratePress] Stylizing Search Form@edge22, Hello Tom, I was able to locate where to overwrite the Search-from within my theme. By overwriting the current search-form.php with the script you provided(thanks for that), what essentially will change? Also, Would you happen to know if I include the CSS scripts in Elementor or in my theme builder?
Thank you,

In reply to: [GeneratePress] Stylizing Search FormHello @edge22 @leohsiang,
Thank you guys for all the support. Tom, I am not specialized in going into the backend and customize scripts and codes. My best bet is to use an Elementor widget that allows me to customize the search bar. The only issue is that the Elementor search widget doesn’t support multilingual search results. Essentially if I search for a term in English, everything related to that search term appears but when I repeat that process on my french version of the site, no results appear.
thanks,
