In reply to: [Longer Permalinks] Permalink length reduce to 200 after wp update 6.3Hello,
plugin is tested on upgrading to WordPress 6.3 and the long permalinks are not getting “lost” on the upgrade.
Please can you confirm that you were on the latest plugin version before the upgrade?
That is version 1.28 ( https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/longer-permalinks/ )Thank you.

In reply to: [Longer Permalinks] eror 500 (Request Timeout) with Longer PermalinksHello,
how much is your PHP memory_limit now?
Please note that WP_MEMORY_LIMIT is not the same as the PHP memory_limit.Please go to “Tools” → “Site Health” → “Info” and see the line PHP memory limit there.
A way to check this for your hosting regardless of your WP installation, is to create an empty new php file and put inside only one php command: phpinfo();
and visit this file using your browser to see all active PHP settings (and memory limit).
Remember to delete this new file afterwards for security reasons.Thank you.

Sure. Thank you very much for your useful and detailed message.
Thank you for your detailed and useful video.
Really helpful to understand.I can confirm that plugin until today, does it’s magic to “posts” only (database table wp_posts) and not for categories and tags (database table wp_terms).
We haven’t investigated and analyzed such a functionality extension (to also cover wp_terms). Nobody has asked this until today. We will investigate this as a future request.Thank you.
Hi,
Maybe your database is somewhat corrupt.
Try repairing all tables (using PHPMyAdmin repair or similar means).
Of course you should always get a database backup first. In general, this message often comes from a column not being set to auto-increment.
Have you changed anything in your database?
Have you merged content or data together from more than one source/website?Thank you.

In reply to: [Longer Permalinks] eror 500 (Request Timeout) with Longer PermalinksHi,
in the error messages you have sent, you can see:“allocated 2097152”
This is bytes.
This is exactly 2 MB!It wasn’t allowed to go above 2 MB.

In reply to: [Longer Permalinks] eror 500 (Request Timeout) with Longer PermalinksAsk your hosting provider (or find this yourself in your hosting panel if you have one) to increase your PHP “memory_limit”.
This limit is the reason you get this error.
It is not the same as your total memory limit in your hosting account.
Increase your PHP memory limit and retry until you don’t get this error. The reason you are getting this error is low “memory_limit” in your PHP.Also ask your hosting (or find this yourself if available in your hosting panel) to increase the time (in seconds/minutes) that your PHP is allowed to execute. Also the time your http response can take to send a response. For example “max_execution_time” for PHP etc, your hosting will guide you here.
If this is the first time you enable the plugin, since your website has a large database (with a lot of records in wp_posts table because of 300000+ products), then it will take some extra seconds the first time you load your website (depending on your hosting). This is true only for the first load.
Thank you.

In reply to: [Longer Permalinks] eror 500 (Request Timeout) with Longer PermalinksDo you have any relevant lines in your error_log when you get the 500 error?
All 50x errors should have relevant entries in your error log.
Please send the relevant error you are getting. Also you wrote that you have it 1 year already, you mean you had this enabled for about 1 year? And now only on your new hosting you see this problem?

In reply to: [Longer Permalinks] Site Broken after PluginHi,
since the plugin is working fine on “pages” and on “posts” on so many installations, and in your 2nd installation too, there is something special here on this installation you have. Please try also what I wrote on my last message (test a new page creation with the plugin off).
Thank you.
