In reply to: Twenty Twelve Custom Post ImageHey Paul,
Again thanks for your input on this. Gave that a go but the image is still cropping to 195*120.
I am now thinking that the other PHP code I am using must be causing an issue with Twenty Twelve, as I had this working on a basic theme I made which can be seen here (I integrated the twenty twelve menu into it, but the main structure is all my own)
The code gives me a menu in the administration panel called Portfolio, then I add a post and the image that is shown is chosen via the ‘Featured Image’ menu, but this always comes up with 195*120 for the arrow.png.
I appreciate you may not be able to answer this Paul as straying into other potential issues, but any further pointers would be great.
Cheers,
Ant

In reply to: Twenty Twelve Custom Post ImageHi Paul,
Thanks for the prompt and clear response.
Tried the code as you posted, I can rename the function name later. I also deleted the images and re-uploaded (been caught by that before, thanks for the reminder though).
The arrow image is actually 320*120 just for testing, but I am still having what I believe to be an issue. I say believe as it seems to be working on some level, cropping and resizing but not as expected.
The arrow image is larger now than before, but surely if it is already 320*120, there should be no cropping with the ‘true’ parameter you mentioned?
Best regards,
Ant

In reply to: Twenty Twelve Custom Post ImageI am not sure if this is classed as a Hack, so posted in the theme forum!

In reply to: Twenty Twelve Child padding issue!?!Fresh WordPress install, same style.css file and now all ok!

In reply to: Twenty Twelve Child padding issue!?!Hi Esmi,
I have tried creating the child theme 5-6 times now, reloaded all the original twentytwelve theme files as well, but having some strange results.
Going to remove the whole wordpress installation and start again as cannot see where the issue lies, the child theme I am using is the very basic style.css file so should have no impact other than importing the original style sheet.

In reply to: Twenty Twelve Child padding issue!?!Just copied those files over to the server and no difference.
What could I be missing here, as the styles are clearly importing ok as the layout of most of the site is fine, just the text and images are right up to the margin.
Marked as resolved
Hi,
Yep it is a localhost address, no worries I am just building my own theme so wanted to test before I place on my website.
Will just have to wait and see!

Hi Daniel,
I am sure you are very busy and really just after a few pointers, also see you have mentioned that certain features will be in the next release of Minimatica, so keen to not hack around with the code too much if the release is due sometime soon?
I have made a few tweaks myself now on the CSS side, but more importantly regarding the question in my original post.
Basically I have used the Archive page and created a permanent link to this via the main menu, then deleted a little PHP code that inserted the date information, and renamed the ‘Archive for’ text ‘to News-Blog’. Not the best way to do this but gives the desired effect for now.
Anyway if nothing else if anyone likes some of the styling I have made on the blog feed or anywhere else, drop me a line and I will happily supply my style.css file which I have almost gone through now and comment of what some of the code does.
Cheers,
Ant
Hi,
Thanks for the response and good to know where the issue s known, and appreciate its not something that will be solved immediately.
Any ideas where the issue might be, as I would like to further investigate and tweak?
Thanks again for a great theme.
Ant
Hi Marventus,
Curious how you found this, was it just through observation/experience or something like Firebug?
I ask as I want to improve my problem solving of web issues.

In reply to: Problem with sliderHi,
I have a similar issue as using vslider and running the latest version of the Eclipse theme, I am unsure if the theme is the issue though!
What version of WordPress are you running? I am using 3.41 and have seen other posts mention issue with the WordPress update and sliders.
Hi Meadpointofview,
I can see the issue as described, unsure what it is though.
I would try tweaking the settings in a systematic order, refreshing the page and see if anything changes. Try using colorbox or one of the other effects to see if it stays the same. Also try in different browsers as the more information the better.
Hi,
I have been doing a little more reading and seems other sliders are affected by the WordPress 3.4 update, not sure if this relates to this post below;
I have tried searching through vslider files on my site, but cannot find anything relating to this.
Anyone else have any ideas?
Cheers,
Ant
I have sorted this now by adding some minor alterations to the CSS.
