If the page doesnt load that means there is some conflict u mite need to disable some plugins try n see if it makes a difference..

Ohh no i think u uploaded the image via media manager that wont overwrite existing images with same name it will generate new name see the image name its not same …Chronicles-logo-1-sm-e1437394483845.jpg

acc to me whatu shld do is go for theme(lots of free + paid ones ) look out for which is the closest to what you have in mind and then start building things one by own remove the unwated things and add your own stuff.
Or if have absolute no knowledge of coding then u shld go for any of these options

Hosting for wordpress there are million ones out there …
Usually people go for hosting which is easy to contact incase of emergneci I dont know where are you from… I use one.com and proisp
But really doesnt matter for small sites just see its has good backend a cpanel supported one helps and offers you affordable rates..

Go to that particular page/post in the backend and click on add media and then upload the pic you want and click on insert into post and save it…

Not sure how good you are at coding encompass but what u can try is

get the site title to left by editing

position: relative;

}

then give appripriate padding in the menu container..for the menu to appear correctly

Try this and play around with css using firebug plugin for firefox …

You need to first install wordpress and then configure the theme…For the site to run.
Hope you have hosting place for that also..
Lots of tutorials avaible on how to install wordpress and then how to install and configure particular theme…

You can upload your own logo in Appearance -> Theme options -> Logos & media. If you are using sticky menu than I suggest you to upload also sticky logo (or select the same as logo).

As far as I know the basic unite theme doesnt come with option of uploading logo via the backend this must have been customly coded..
The basic theme just has site tagline in the header which can be adjusted…

Since you have absolutely no knowledge of coding the only way out by which you can solve it by ur own is..
ur old logo is in this folder
/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/cropped-Chronicles2.jpg

Just over write new logo with same name (cropped-Chronicles2.jpg) and place it in exactly the same folder…

and on line 501 do u see this in the css just comment or hide this
margin-bottom: 2.2rem;

that shld then take care of padding.

Tip :why dont you use firebug(firefox) or incase chrome of chrome the default web debugger ,will help you in adjusting html and css related issues.

Totally depends on how much customization you want to do…
Lots of themes today have everything what you need so may need much of coding needed…
Also plugins to large extent will help you to limit the coding so that much of basic site can be controlled via the backend.
