Same here. Just updated to the latest version and now I am getting the above error and my message won’t send. Was working find prior to recent update to 5.8.
I have tried different browser, different devices, but still getting this error.
Same on my two sites. Critical error warning but then update completed and all looks fine. I never received any error message at my admin email, which is odd. Disconcerting to say the least, but all appears to be working.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Sales Tax calculated BEFORE address enteredI think I figured it out. In Woocommerce> Settings> General under Default Customer Address, I had it set to geolocate. For some reason it defaulted to the store address (I guess) which is in our home state, despite the fact that we are currently not there (something you may want the folks at Woocommerce to checkout since it seems to default to that for Geolocate).
When I set it to “No Address”, it stopped calculating tax. That solution works for now, but it seems a problem with the Geolocate setting and “calculate tax from billing address.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Sales Tax calculated BEFORE address enteredHere is the screenshot of my tax settings in snipboard:
https://snipboard.io/fevM8I.jpgI am concerned about posting “System Report” information you requested to a public forum as it contains A LOT of information that might be used in an attack or attempt to hack our site (file structure, database info/table names, installed plugins, etc.). Is there an alternate way to provide this information?
Also, I wondered if there is a setting in the database that is “stuck.” It certainly wouldn’t be the first time I have encountered that.
Thank you for your help and let me know about getting you the System Report in an alternate fashion.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Sales Tax calculated BEFORE address enteredDid the full conflict test per your instructions on a staging site using the Storefront theme and having ONLY woocommerce activated. It STILL calculated the sales tax (I can provide a screenshot) despite being set to base the tax on a customers billing address (we sell an online class, so shipping address is irrelevant). If you proceed and fill in a billing address, then the tax calculates appropriately before checkout, but it is disconcerting to customers to see it before hand when they have not had that happen in the past. I have been asked about it.

In reply to: [Uncanny Toolkit for LearnDash] Redirect since last update also AdminsI have had this issue as well. When I log into an administrator account (only role is admin for this account), I get redirected to the page I designated in the LOG IN/LOG OUT REDIRECTS module. I am using the latest update (v3.5), in fact this started with the latest update (I think).
Fortunately, I also see the admin bar even though I have the HIDE ADMIN BAR module activated for all roles except the exempted Administrators. I can use this to get to the dashboard. I also have the FRONT END LOGIN module activated as well. I use the FRONT END LOGIN block on the log in page. I am NOT using the modal login.
Thanks for addressing this.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Orange box error message contact form 7Hi bkirkwood,
Actually, Contact Form 7 does contain reCaptcha technology, however, the most recent version of the plugin uses reCaptcha version 3, which is “invisibile” and does not appear on the form. However, it seems version 3’s algorithm or whatever it uses to assess whether a message is spam or not has a little too high a bar. I had a customer whose messages we rejected as spam, and when I went to test the form on our site, it rejected my message as spam as well. However, it only happened in Chrome, not Firefox or Safari. That and another recent problem I just had with the latest version of Chrome are what made me wonder if it is something in Chrome that is causing reCaptcha v3 to give false positives to legit messages. You can find out more about reCaptcha in Contact Form 7 here:

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Orange box error message contact form 7Hello,
I am having this same issue. I noticed that two of the rejection messages are the some, one for a failed send and another for when it identifies spam. So, I changed the message for spam, and I got my message rejected and it was the message for “Submission was referred to as spam”So it seems that reCaptcha3 is being a little too strong. also, I noted that this happened in the Chrome browser, but not the Safari or Firefox browser. The Chrome browser was just updated recently (which it does automatically BTW), and it broke a browser extension I use. I had not had this problem previously.
Here was the explanation in that case:
“The concern was in fact related to the signature of the Chrome browser thus preventing the application from working properly.” Apparently, the extension did a check of the browser signature, which changed in the recent update.Could this part of the issue?
