I have the same issue with verification required error message when Wholesale customers are logging in through a custom log in page, if they log in through /wp-admin they do not have verification required error message.

I have tried reducing threshold recaptcha to 0 from 0.5 and the error still occurs, I have also deactivated plug in and the error message does not appear anymore.
