In reply to: [WP Go Maps (formerly WP Google Maps)] Import a KML or KMZ filedear silvensteve6 dear perry
good day – and many thanks for raising this question here. i am glad to hear from you
i am also working on there things.i have gathered some infos: guess you have to look after openstreetmap-plugins that are capable to do lots of thints:
see some plugins that support the integration of maps – see for a overview here https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/search/MAPS/
Technically, you don’t need a plugin to add a Google Map to your WordPress site. The Google Maps API provides an embed-code :: this you can insert in a WordPress page or post via the Gutenberg-Block Editor. Thats it – and youre done! A whole bunch of map plugins for WordPress (cf. https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/search/MAPS/ ) come equipped with a whole lot of top notch and very advanced features you don’t get with a manually embedded map.In addition to single or multiple locations, interactive map plugins provide:
– youre able to add – Custom icons and markers
– Animations
– Filter and search options
– Clusterization
– Street views
– Zooming and panning
– pinning the map to a block
– using the data that comes shipped with the map.see more here:
https://community.apachefriends.org/f/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=79902and of course here a. https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/search/openstreetmap/
hope that helps
greetings

In reply to: [WP Job Manager] Outdated Documentationhello dear friend, good day dear Alphax,
first of all: many many thanks for the heads up. I am glad that you tell us this.
perhaps some of the responsible ppl can have a closer look at this.btw:the wp-job-manager is obviously one of the defacto-standard plugins in its category. And certainly one of the most sustainable developed plugin in its class.
i love it: and we have a bunch of great snippets and code-extensions: see for example here: https://wpjobmanager.com/customization-snippets/
Note: All code examples on this site are provided for developer reference/guidance only and we cannot guarantee that they will always work as expected. Our support policy does not include assistance with modifying or debugging code from any code examples, and they may be changed or removed if we find they no longer work due to changes in our plugins.
This page consists of all the customization snippets we have so far. We may occasionally add new ones and we encourage everyone to also send their own snippets to us! If you add a customization that you think will benefit others, get in touch with us via our Support form. The more snippets we put on this page, the more it will be useful for everyone!– Change the From: name in the Job Alert notification
– Change the From: email in the Job Alert notification
– Remove the “My Packages” section from My Account
– Specify language to use for geocoding
– Add Underline button to the TinyMCE editor toolbar
– Add Job ID to Job Meta
– Send email to candidate when resume is approved
– Count Bookmarks
– Change “Bookmark this Job” to “Save this Job”
– Use alternative login page
– Redirect when an application is submitted
– Redirect when a resume is submitted
– Increase HTTP timeout to 30 seconds
– Remove “Listing Expires” column from Job Dashboard
– Deregister application.js
– Change default new role in WooCommerce
– Add e-mail setting field to WPJM Resumesee here: https://wpjobmanager.com/customization-snippets/
for a lots of other snippets more…that said: well Alphax – i hope that some of the ppl will take a closer look at the documentation. This would be great if we have a re-newed and sustainably developed documentation.
note: we allready have a global community of Wp-job-manaer-users – a community that is scattered all over the world. So we need to have good support and documentation – to enhance and unleash the further sustainable development.
keep up the great project – it rocks!

Hello dear Joe

GeoJSON GPX KML OSM RAW RAW DIRECTLY FROM Overpass API load the data into a OSM-Editor: JOSM, Level0
what do you say? that looks pretty awesome doesnt it!?
look forward to hear forom you
regards
hi there Joe
first of all – many many thanks for the quick reply. Great to hear from you.
From healthistes.io i can dl the data in such formats. And besides this i guess that i also am able to dl the request from overpass-turbo.eu – in also the same formats…
so there are a wide range of opportunities to work – with the data of osm.
i will come back to you soon.
regards apollo
good day dear Hardeep – good evening i am glad to hear from you.
what is aimed: i want to show some blocks with images in the page: see examples:
https://ismolik.com/
https://uxtypo.com/en/
https://laboratoriumstron.pl
https://www.type1.dk/the last one: see Pernille Bach Renleff cf. https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/selection-of-icons-in-feature-block/
https://www.ads-software.com/support/users/pernillerenleff/:When I use the feature block and want to add an icon to use, I cant see the hole list of icons.
I can do Icon search, but i cant see all: https://www.type1.dk/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/icons-not-all-visuable.pngthe question is: how to achieve that: btw: see also the WordPress Blocks Reference and Online-Live-Examples :: see an overview: https://blocks.wp-a2z.org/block/
i have found some little refernces: The WordPress Blocks reference https://blocks.wp-a2z.org/
A catalogue of blocks for the WordPress block editor and the plugins that deliver them. Use it to find the blocks you need for your website.
Built and maintained by Herb Miller @herb_miller.
see an overview: https://blocks.wp-a2z.org/block/https://blocks.wp-a2z.org/block/feature-coblocks-feature/
so – dear Hardeep Asrani – can you help me to achieve the blocks like the above mentioend example-pages did this.
https://ismolik.com/

https://www.type1.dk/look forward to hear from you
regards apollo
ps – keep up the great work – it rocks – i love otterbllocks from the bottom of my heart.
My idea on the images was the following: can just not make them parallax by adjusting the styles. They seem to work ok in the mobile width because it turns them into non-fixed images. Using that thinking, i could add this to the “Additional CSS” (at the bottom):
@media screen and (min-width: 48em){ .background-fixed .panel-image {background-attachment: scroll !important;} .panel-image {height: auto !important; max-height: 800px; background-size: contain !important;} }
That should fix the images on the page. but it did not.
Note: i run the twentyseventeen – theme with a two column option.any idea? see the site: https://www.job-starter.com
look forward to hear from youSee https://imgur.com/g3UDaNZ.png
and see more – see more images
See https://imgur.com/iUT4vzU.png
note: i should probably constrain the width. it is not only to handle the height. The image is almost 3000px wide.
Another issue is that this is not a regular image, it’s a div with a background image. Maybe i should try different values for background-size, instead of cover try contain, or set a percentage size.
look forward to hear from you
