    hi there

    many thanks for your question:

    first of all: your page looks fantastic. It is designed great and a superb example of what can be done with the theme and coblock i guess that you use the feature /image block for it.

    i for one did not get it: why do you think that you infringe the eu-law!?

    Can you give more insights and explanations. That would be geat

    hello dear all –

    first of all: many many thanks for all you did. I am very very glad to see this great forum up and running. I am so glad to see the great wp-coblock which is a fantastic thing. i love it from the bottom of my heart.

    first of all: i have made further investigations and i have to say some further things

    – on the page https://www.job-starter.com i have the plugin wp-job-manager running in a coblock: (see for more information about the wp-job-manager: https://de.www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-job-manager/ ) This wp job manager runs in a coblock ( https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/coblocks/ ) on my site: perhaps this is important when tryin to solve the issue with the fonts… see the data i have derived during a investigation with google chrome: see the huge and big letters of the following terms and words -.. they are too big:

    Customize Twenty Seventeen WordPress Theme using the customizer
    there are several options – it someone does not want to setup a child theme and simply want to customize the theme with what’s available,
    we can do it with the help of customizer. No coding needed with this way – great!

    Customize Twenty Seventeen WordPress

    Some of the dimensional specs of Twenty Seventeen theme are the following:
    Main column width: up to 530px wide for two column layout, or up to 755px wide for one column layout.
    Sidebar column width: up to 326px
    Featured Image size: approx 2000px wide by 1200px high (recommended)
    Header Video and Header Image size: approx 2000px wide by 1200px high (recommended)
    Body font size: approx 16px

    We can do some steps to accomplish a tweak of the theme 2017 – with additional CSS for Twenty Seventeen – how to change the fonts now with some steps.

    – force WordPress to load the child theme’s global.js file – and not the original parent’s file,
    – add a specific CSS class to menu links,
    – add an ID to each section in the front page of our one pager-site.
    – modify the global.js file – this is pretty important to get the animation effect.

    1. Forcing WordPress to Load the Child Theme’s global.js File
    this code – hack helps the childtheme_enqueue_styles function defined in the code as follows:If the current page is the front page, WordPress enqueues the child theme’s global.js file. If it does not exist, WordPress loads the parent’s global.js.

    one monor question: the fonts of the wp-job-manager which can be seen at the “BETA”-BETA-Page is quite looking funny

    i guess that the characters are too big – by far tool big??dou You have an idea – what goes on here.??see the page?https://www.job-starter.com/?and see the charactes and the words in the wp-job manager – plugin which can be seen? there…See the oversized letters that can be seen over there.???see the letters which are too big

    –??Keywords
    – Location
    – Category??

    While having a closer look at the twentyseventeen theme I found that custom font is registered using below way –

    /**
     * Register custom fonts.
     */
    function twentyseventeen_fonts_url() {
    	$fonts_url = '';

    	/*
    	 * Translators: If there are characters in your language that are not
    	 * supported by Libre Franklin, translate this to 'off'. Do not translate
    	 * into your own language.
    	 */
    	$libre_franklin = _x( 'on', 'Libre Franklin font: on or off', 'twentyseventeen' );

    	if ( 'off' !== $libre_franklin ) {
    		$font_families = array();

    		$font_families[] = 'Libre Franklin:300,300i,400,400i,600,600i,800,800i';

    		$query_args = array(
    			'family' => urlencode( implode( '|', $font_families ) ),
    			'subset' => urlencode( 'latin,latin-ext' ),
    		);

    		$fonts_url = add_query_arg( $query_args, 'https://fonts.googleapis.com/css' );
    	}

    	return esc_url_raw( $fonts_url );
    }

    On many tutorial sites out there authors have recommended using below method –

    function add_google_fonts() {
    wp_enqueue_style( ‘google_web_fonts’, ‘https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Open+Sans|Roboto’ );
    }
    add_action( ‘wp_enqueue_scripts’, ‘add_google_fonts’ );

    well to be frank: i wonder What’s the difference b/w above two and what are their advantages and disadvantages?

    regarding the function i have to admit: to me it seems that there is no difference – all that is happening here is that they’re building the URL
    in a (to my mind) rather convoluted way. If we have a closer look in the Twenty Seventeen functions.php file we will find that function is being called in the same wp_enqueue_style way as your 2nd example:

    wp_enqueue_style( ‘twentyseventeen-fonts’, twentyseventeen_fonts_url(), array(), null );

    To each his own!
