Here’s how to FIX the error:

DELETE the folder “campaignmonitor” located in public_html/wp-content/plugins/mailchimp-wp/providers

It’s empty anyway, so no harm will be done.

Authors should be aware of this error.

Actually, in my case it does send confirmation emails, but I thought it doesn’t check if the user is already subscribed on the mailing list.

I found out that this is exactly the way Chimpy works. An existing user will always see the “Thank you for subscribing” message

I got the same error message on installation. Had to uninstall it.

I have solved the issue by updating and reinstalling some of the plugins. I would advice all of you using WPML to upgrade to the beta bundle which provides support for WordPress 3.9

I had to remove the plugin. It’s a live website, so I can’t keep active a broken plugin. Sorry. My WordPress version is 3.5.1. though.

You don’t have to be logged in to Facebook in order to see the Like button. Instead of your plugin, I’ve installed another one (facebook like box popup). It works just fine, logged in or not, both ways. SEE HERE

I can also confirm that Facebook Like button in version 1.5.3 doesn’t appear. Had to deactivate the plugin.

Thanks for the help. NextGEN Facebook Open Graph plugin was causing the issue. Now it works just fine.
