OMG I am an idiot. Be warned everyone… AD BLOCK PLUS blocks you even working on your banners in wp banners. I am a fool and have now rolled back to using this plugin and it’s working fine. Apologies to those misled. Although it would be neat if there was a way to import into the new plugin rather than have to copy and paste them one by one… just sayin’.

I get the email ok but there is no forwarding to the specified url as preferred.

I have no idea why… it literally just started working again just after i reported it so i assume this is resolved for now.

if you want to do all of them bulk you can in phpmyadmin with this sql line :

UPDATE wp_posts SET post_status = ‘draft’ WHERE (post_type =’post’ and post_status = ‘publish’) ;

*** warning this will set ALL posts to ‘draft’ status so make sure you are ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN you want to do this ?? ***

Ok… my bad…

I just went and downloaded version 2.0 and unpacked the zip to see if anything was awry there… yep… it was in a directory in a directory in a directory so there was no way that wordpress could unpack from direct upload of the original downloaded zip file and would report it broken.

I packed the final folder and named it appropriately and now the plugin is working on version 2.1 on wp3.3.1 for me.

Version 4.0 and 4.1 does not work for me at all on wp3.3.1

To all having trouble … try the earlier version.

I renamed the plugins folder and my site worked fine instantly.

Ok, now i know i am a moron when it comes to wordpress understanding. I see now that I need to edit the functionality of TinyMCE and what it displays on my post pages.

If _anyone_ has an idea about this I would love some help.

I am now going to search the database of wordpress for information on doing just this.

Actually… scratch that. I have since realized that to customize the part that I want to customize I have to delve into general-template.php in the function defined as the_editor at line 793 the problem is is that is a nest of code i have no idea about.

I need to do something *very simple* without all the rich text functionality that currently appears when you are writing posts.

Basically i need a simple text box without the added functionality… in fact I would like a text box just like this one I am writing in.

If someone can point me in the direction of how to make that happen I will be very happy.

Is there a plug in somewhere that allows for the change of the post box functionality or is there simple code I can use to make this happen?

Please help.
