Apologies, I meant to write that valid image links are activated automatically for display in the lightbox.

Without links, there is nothing for visitors to click on and launch the lightbox, and there is nothing to indicate what should be displayed in the lightbox when a visitor clicks on a non-linked image.

Is there a reason why links to images cannot be added to the page/post?

Any valid image URL in the supported content areas (posts, widgets, menus, etc.) are activated automatically. The images do not need to stored in the site’s Media Library to be displayed in the lightbox.

If this is not working for you, please provide a link to a page that exhibits the issue you are experiencing and I would be glad to take a closer look.

Hi, nothing needs to be added to a theme’s functions.php file for the post thumbnail example code to work.

As you note, the example code would be added to the post loop of the desired template file in the theme (e.g. single.php, page.php, etc.).

Hi, it appears that the site uses Oxygen Builder, not ACF as mentioned.

Unfortunately, Oxygen Builder forgoes WordPress’ theme/template system and uses its own proprietary system, making it incompatible with any plugins that use standard WordPress template tags, including SLB.

Marking this post as “Resolved” as SLB’s slideshow functionality appears to be functioning normally at the site.

Thank you for the screenshots. Those options on the Gallery creation dialog are likely added by a plugin installed on one site, but not on the other.

I can also confirm that those options have no bearing on SLB’s slideshow functionality.

If you are experiencing an issue with slideshow functionality in SLB’s lightbox, then the issue may be caused by another factor. Please provide a link to specific page that exhibits the issue and I would be glad to take a look.

The website where the plug-in is not showing a Slideshow option when I Create Gallery is FWTmagazine.com

As previously-noted, SLB does not add any options to the post editor, so what you are seeing is possibly due to differences in plugins or settings between the two sites.

The screenshots you referred to would be necessary to evaluate this further.

In any case, SLB’s slideshow functionality does not depend on options in the post editor, only its own settings. If SLB’s aforementioned “Group items” option is enabled, but the slideshow functionality is not working in the lightbox, please provide a link to a page that exhibits this behavior and I would be glad to take a look.

The webmaster is saying slideshows slow down the site. What are your thoughts regarding this? Thanks.

SLB’s slideshow functionality does not slow down a site’s performance.

Hi, this is the support forum for the Cornerstone plugin in WordPress’ official plugin directory.

It appears that you are using a different plugin that may be using the same name, as the link you provided does not appear to have this Cornerstone plugin installed.

The plugin you are using may have included support information on the plugin’s own admin page. You may also be able to find information on getting support via the site where you originally downloaded the plugin.

Click the “+” button in the message box and choose “Image”.

Hi, yes, screenshots would be very helpful in understanding the issue you are experiencing.

Note that SLB does not currently add any options or controls to the post editor page.

All of SLB’s options are on SLB’s own admin settings page. For example, when SLB’s “Group items (for displaying as a slideshow)” option is enabled, supported links are automatically displayed as a slideshow in the lightbox.
