When I attempt to set up the plugin Woocommerce Paypal Payments, I tried the activation button, which logins in to paypal and then says connected, but it doesn’t appear to work at checkout. When I click “toggle to manual credential input”, the Live email address, Live Merchant ID are completed, but there are two empty fields: Live Client ID, Live secret key.

When I follow the steps to get the API credentials for NVP/SOAP API integration (Classic) on the paypal website it show an API username, API password, and API signature. I am unclear how to proceed as they don’t match and also the process seems partially completed. Any help would be appreciated.

With regard to the errors, WordPress was recently upgraded, but there is a new release. Also, the templates are highly customized so they are not actually out of date. I do check them to ensure they are working and they are.

At the moment we are not using an additional paypal gateway. In the past we may have used Woocommerce Paypal Payments, but I believe it gave an error and we started using just the option under Woocommerce > Settings > Payments > Paypal Standard – Paypal.

Thanks Andy for the reply. That explains why it doesn’t work any differently from when I use the embed tag. Actually the toolbar automatically is added by Chrome and other browsers to the pdf when the embed tag is used. There are pdf embed plugins that use pdf.js to add a toolbar I am speaking about to the top in place of the automatic ones; however, they don’t work in Microsoft Edge (just get a warning about the site doing something illegal. That’s why I tried your plugin. Thanks for your time

here is the problem with using a number. If you have this question: 6.5 x 8.2 and you correctly answer 53.3 it says it is wrong and should be 53.30. Technically 53.3 or 53.30 is correct. Using a short text field is actually better because you can include both answers as accurate.

I suppose that is possible. There are only two plugins installed though and a simple theme. Too many issues and I don’t like the structure of the plugin. I have installed a different quiz plugin now. Thanks anyway.

Actually I was talking about multiplying decimals as a question. Like this:

Sorry one last question. This works but leaves a lot of blank space in the email sent. Is there a way of omitting this. I tried using trim().

I just got the same error with Sucuri with PHP 8.0. Unable to even deactivate the plugin. Need to erase the files. Why no answer to this?

Thanks for this, but I had seen that post before I opened my own post.

Also, I had contact Paypal and despite trying to clearly telling them the problem they sent me an article on something that was completely unrelated to my question. They just wanted to get me off the phone.

What doesn’t make sense is that we are not passing the shipping address, so it shouldn’t be asking for it. I tried passing the shipping and it seemed to work for the credit card payments but not for the customer select the Paypal account. I will open another ticket with Paypal and I might be back in touch with you. I actually think this problem may be a result of woocommerce not passing either a message that no shipping is required or not passing the billing as shipping.

FYI, on test site I enabled shipping and tried setting up local pick-up option and it seems to work if you don’t log into paypal account and select “pay by credit card; however, when the client logs into their paypal account, it wants them to confirm the shipping address. Never did that with Paypal Standard. Just asked which card you want to pay with.

Hi there,

Just as a follow-up, I tried again to install and configure the payment gateway for the ticket plugin (calendar plugin was also installed). Tried first in sandbox and then in live mode. I switched to a default theme and could not get it working. In sandbox it said it wasn’t configured. In live mode it hung. Perhaps I am doing something wrong, but I don’t think so. I resynced, reconnected, etc. but couldn’t get it working.

So can you host virtual events with My Tickets? That’s the first question?
