Yes, it does seem to work on new posts.

In order to clean the headings (Generatepress / Genertaeblocks) do I have to go to each heading and clear the anchor text before adding your TOC block?

Thanks for the reply.
Basically, i would like to be able to use all the normal blocks that are available. Im sure there is a good reason why that is not possible!
If I could add styled list and styled box it would just help making things more interesting. It would also be good to control where the photo goes in relation to the text.

I have just found further info from the GenerateBlocks Developer asked about the lack of compatibility of a Table of Contents plugin with the GenerateBlocks Headline:

“In that case, it’s likely that the plugin is specifically targeting the core Heading block. They would need to check for the Headline block as well or change the way they target elements to look for headings (h1-h6).”

“I see, so it’s best to contact the plugin developer and ask him to target a wider set of blocks, ie all heading tags.”

“That would be best ??”

Apologies, I thought I had closed this support.

I adjusted an option on Autoptimize (I unselected the aggregate inline JS option in Javascript Options). I have also deleted w3totalcache and using cache enabler instead but I dont think that changed the issue.

Brilliant support!

I have changed the text so I don’t need the Double quotes in any of my toggle blocks and it now passes.
Having the option in the future would be great but really appreciate knowing the answer now.
