Thanks, but I should clarify that I’m looking to do this globally. We have well over 800 users across 500+ sites in my org. Not having an option to clean up the UI across the board is disappointing to me as a UX/UI guy.

I think it’s safe to assume this plugin is dead… Sad, it was super handy given there appears to be zero care about having the blocks in the API as a part of WP Core

I should note that I just noticed that once this plugin is deactivated all the content reappears. Then disappears again if reactivated.

This issue was caused by version 2.4.17.22 of Gravityforms… Fun times when premium plugins start breaking core functionality

I dug into this a bit more, and the conflict is when the latest version of Gutenberg is active. I am running version 7.2.0 at the moment, testing custom blocks against new incoming features for Gutenberg.

I disagree with it being something that should be disallowed on free, or even premium plugins. They build this stuff, and they should be able to do what they want. But I do think there should be limits that developers put on themselves, and not allowing a notice as large as this to be dismissed, or even simply collapsed, is not cool.

The folks being this plugin have thrown notice after notice in our faces for years, all with options to dismiss. This one should be no different.

And @neotrope, you make some valid points in your statement, but calling those who use free plugins stupid is a little harsh.

Awesome, that fixed it… Odd, as I did not do the updated through the admin panel, I downloaded and replaced it on my local vagrant build and server install.

I’m starting to wonder why there seems to be a lack of response to things relating to some of the Yoast plugins. I had forgotten that I posted in this thread a while ago, and it has since been closed without a resolution

I was also just trying to figure out if this can be done. There’s obviously no option for it in the plugin itself, and I cannot find a capability name that would allow me to do it via the add_cap function.

Does anyone know of a way to do this? I have a lot of editors on several sites who would love to see this feature!

A feature such as this seems like a no brainer for a lot of plugins with landing pages that provide information instead of settings. The fact that this request has been sitting here for 3 months and has gone unresolved is a little sad and a failure on the plugin developers side to think about how people may use this throughout various WP roles.

This section of the WordPress user guides should give you all the info you need on the menu system

The homepage tab is linking to /sample-page. It appears that your menu is built with the WP Menu system, take a look at that and you should see the incorrect link. You’ll want to replace that with a custom link option, and make it go to https://coffeymachining.com/
