Hi @teeboy4real i tested the plugin with a fresh installatioan of buddypress and profile completion. With default settings. Do you have you any other plugins or an special configurtion set, i will need your help to understand the situation.

I released version 1.2.1, the plugin is now compatible with “BuddyPress Profile Completion”. Your comments pointed me to the right direction to find the issue.

The issue you mention is due to an incompatibility with wpDiscuz. Thanks to your comments I was able to identify the problem. So, starting version 1.2.0, Letter Avatar is compatible with wpDiscuz.

@john0865 Starting 1.2.0 version, this plugins is compatible with Ultimate Member plugin

Your code will also add support for some other languages with especial characters
I will include this code in the next plugin release as well as you as plugin collaborator.

@feedough, thanks for letting us know, we will try to add this functionality as soon as posible.

We dont plan to add shortcodes to this plugin, but we are working in other plugin that will add such kind of feature.

We never tested our plugin with Ultimate Member plugin. If you can tell us what is the issue you are having as a starting point to make our plugin compatible with Ultimate Member.

@tanu2529 With the latest wordpress realease (5.4.1) if a role or user does not have the “read” capability it wont be able to access “Dashboard” or “Profile” page. I would need to check if also happens in previous wp versions.
So i think if you add “read” capability to your custom “writer” role you wont have the access problem anymore.
Keep in mind that “read” capability is the simplest capability in wordpress (“suscriber” role only have “read” capability by default for example), so it wont give your users access to extra admin features
