  • @ghazayel … I might have … crossing finger. Mine is stable.

It must have been one of 2 usually very reliable plugins: 1 is “WordPress SEO by Yoast” and the other is “Redirection”. I was able to frame when this behaviour started – and looking in the plugin directories, I saw I updated only these ones after that date.

Now I rolled both back to previous versions (acutally I used a major release for redirection 1.3): stopped plugins, delete directories and loaded the olders via FTP.

Site is now stable from 24 hours. I cannot tell which of the two is the bad guy: being a production site I did not want to try with just one or the other. So I can only toss a coin ?? However – amazed as these 2 have always been EXTEREMELY reliable and I could never trace them to a sidebar or footer issue in widgets !!!

Not sure if this is tour case – but if you have any of them, try roll back to previous vesrions (around june).

Ghazayel … same here 3.9.1 … but before this was not happening; unsure if it is some recent plugin … update (no new install).

Once I refix widgets they are ok for 10-12 hours so I don’t know how to easiliy replicate this. A nightmare.

    Did you solve this ??

likewise; no problem with 0.9.2.9; from 10 to 11 all nightmares. Went back to 0.9.2.9 until people saytsit is really solved.

In my case, i deleted everything manuallt, installed 9.2.9 from clean sheet, and it worked. I did not dare to go again 9.2.11 but decided to stick as it is for the time being, until other heros shows it is not a pattern. 9.2.9 is working.

Clackey … Page not found or no permission to see ? I also had issues with the super admin. Basically the plugin gives permission to the Admin. Consider I settled that… then I upgraded to 3.0.4. After upgrade it disappeared from Super Admin. You might try 2 things:

    1. create an Admin account for yourself and enter with that to see if like an admin you cas see it. If you can … thent it’s the super Admin account issue

    2. Install the “Managers” plugins … with that, go into the Roles console and explicitely gives you the grant on all capacilities related to BackWp as Super Admin.

Like I said, I did number 2. Perfect… after update to 3.0.4, I lost it, so I had to do the granting once again to have it back as Super Admin. I noticed plugins do not have a standard… they are visible at admin level but not necessarily at Super Admin level .. and who/where is very peculiar to the specific admin …

BTW activating and deactivating did not help. Doing it with Managers did the trick ??

Hi – I solved half of the issue: right ok, now complete backup not working.

After this, I installed “Managers” after this to solve: the issue is website has been developed by an Admin and delivered to me (owner) as SuperAdmin… they messed up who could do what. Now with Managers, I rebalanced the Admin/SuperAdmin by expliciting givign permission. So now I can see it on the bar.

The issue now is that I continuosly get errors… meaning, the backup don’t complete and stalls: only the DB one, which is the smallest always pass the test … must be an issue of timeout or quota allowed by Service providers ? Any hint on where to check ? It’s not a plugin issue I think, more on the configuration side…

same here. Running WP 3.4.2; backup was workignq quite well, but after recent update, totally disappeared: no job on top bar, in plugin list I can see Only enable and modify but no access anymore to configuration.

    Totally disappeared
