In reply to: Upgrade to 2.6 – Admin Login ProblemHaving the same problem. Login page just keeps refreshing, no redirect to Admin. Using Firefox 3.0.1. Logged out, deleted all the plugins via ftp, created new password in mysql admin, cleared cookies and private data, closed browser and reopened. Nothing is working. Next will try deleting everything and starting with a fresh installation, not an upgrade.

In reply to: WordPress database error: [MySQL server has gone away]Joining in on the thread a bit late…I’m having the same trouble on my WP website when trying to work in Admin. Saving posts, managing comments, deleting spam all result in this error. I’m not familiar with the intimate workings of MySQL, but I do know how to login to MySQL and backup my database, so if someone could point me in the right direction on how to execute this fix, I would greatly appreciate it. I’m pretty sure it’s the time out issue as mentioned by openadvent, and I just need to understand how to find the things that need modification.

In reply to: WYSIWYG EditorIn an upgrade to a live site, I’ve tried applying the patch by hand and uploading the changed file, but the WYSIWYG editor still does not display.
In a fresh installation for a new blog, I did not have to apply the patch. The WYSIWYG editor worked out of the starting gate.

In reply to: Site review – www.andreasrecipes.comJackosh, very slick how you hid the login. I decided to just comment out most of the Meta stuff and retain the RSS links. Thanks for the tip!

In reply to: importing from WordPress.comUpdate and thanks: I did finally manage to get a full RSS feed from the wordpress.com site. I had to switch themes in order for it to work (used Simpla temporarily). The RSS import into the new site worked great. I did have to manually recreate the comments in the new location, but it wasn’t too bad. At least there were only a few!
Thanks for the tips.

In reply to: importing from WordPress.comBoy, based on your description, manually recreating every post in the new location is looking more attractive all the time! ha ha ha

In reply to: importing from WordPress.comYeah, I saw that mentioned. I’ve been trying the RSS feed option, but for some reason I can’t get more than 10 posts on my feed, even though my options are set for 66 (the total # of posts on my blog).
