“If you can find a reason that is not “bad cache” then you can uncheck the corresponding option.”

I have seen some legitimate users with “bad cache” but they did not contact me and I went ahead and white listed them. With only 25 entries in the log file the people that do contact are knocked out of the log file by the time I get to it. I suspect they are being blocked for “bad cache” but will keep a closer watch.

“I have an exception in the plugin that does not check spammers when the JetPack protection plugin is doing the login. I can add a similar check for emember.”

That might be worth a try.

The odd thing is I didn’t run into this problem with version 5.9.3

Also you have a “Check All” for “Block Countries”. I think a “Uncheck All” box might be helpful.

Having similar problems. Worked fine for a while on two sites but stopped working. Used my hosting provider (Synhosting) for years on a number of sites with no problems.

Will try ppaoletti’s solution.

Also I believe you made some changes for PayPal? I found (in the older version) if I unchecked “Check for missing HTTP_USER_AGENT:” it solved my PayPal problems. I was getting and e-mail from PayPal that some process wasn’t getting completed even though transactions were going through without a problem.

I didn’t try 3.8 with comments. Maybe a conflict with the BBpress forum plugin as I was getting it on replies to topics.

Thanks Keith. Just installed 3.7 and it works fine.

Maybe it’s a conflict with one of my other plugins. It’s an active site so I don’t want to start disabling plugins to track it down. There are 31 active plugins on the site.

Stop Spammer is a great plugin and I did buy the hardcover edition of your book.
