Where can I get the previous version as that was working well for me.
Thanks
Art
I unchecked “Check IP on xmlrpc.php:” but it did not fix the problem.
I’m not checking or reporting spam manually. This error occurs when a visitor tries to leave a reply on a forum. Website is https://www.musiclibraryreport.com.
Plugin is currently disabled.
Thanks for your help.
I disabled the StopForumSpam.com option and there is a valid e-mail address. Still getting the same error. Plugin worked fine before the latest update.
Been working fine up to now but getting these errors:
ERROR: Invalid email address submitted!
ERROR: Slow down; you move too fast.Tried disabling some of the e-mail and red herring options but no joy. Have disabled for now

In reply to: [Mihdan: Ajax Edit Comments] WP Ajax Edit Comments is BrokenThe older version wasn’t working for me (tried that first). When I tried to edit a comment I would get a grayed out screen and there was no edit box with the comment that I wanted to edit. That’s when I thought I would try updating the older version and that fixed it for me.
BTW the older version had been working for me but seem to break within the last few WP upgrades.

In reply to: [Mihdan: Ajax Edit Comments] WP Ajax Edit Comments is BrokenHere’s the problem I was having with AEC and how I (seemingly) fixed it.
I have two, single install, WordPress sites. One is the live site at https://www.musiclibraryreport.com and the other is mlrtest.com (a duplicate of musiclibraryreport.com). Both have the exact same plugins, theme and both with the same host.
On mlrtest.com AEC worked fine but on musiclibraryreport.com when trying to edit a comment the following message was displayed in the edit box – “Fatal error: Call to a member function get_admin_option() on a non-object in /home/munson/public_html/musiclibraryreport.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-ajax-edit-comments/views/comment-editor.php on line 74”. This occurred both on the front end and on the admin side at musiclibraryreport.com.
I seem to have fixed the problem by deleting AEC, installing the older version and then updating to 5.0.70.
Hope that may help someone.

In reply to: blank page after commentI found that a user would get a blank page after a comment if he mentioned his name twice in the comment. Removing one instance of the name fixed the problem. Go figure!

In reply to: Particular comment getting “post not found”Well a big thanks to alism! It was the the mod_security rule. Though it did not contain any of the words in the comment. It’s a mystery to them also but they disabled the rule and it fixed the problem!

In reply to: Particular comment getting “post not found”Actually I just went to another WordPress site I have which has no plug ins installed and have the same problem so it’s not the plug ins causing the problem. BTW these sites range from 2.7 to 2.8.4 and all showing the same problem.

In reply to: Particular comment getting “post not found”Thanks for the reply. I did disable a number of but not all plug ins. I’ll try that and I’ll check Mod Security with my host.
Thank you!
