    Hi Herman!

Yes, this is just the case. The site doesn’t have a unified blog (it is a weird website, lots of pages and few posts lol). But I have a page that shows the list of posts (what is called a blogroll?). In the original site, with elementor, it was achieved with the widget blog of the plugin Premium Addons for Elementor, but I think it can be done with Astra and blocks . I got almost there, but for the enormous amount of space between rows!

    Can you help me?

    Best regards!

    Hi!

Sorry for the delay, I got a lot of emergencies in the last weeks. I will try the plugin this weekend. Can you change the topic from solved to open?

    best regards

    Hi!

Thank you Barsha, do it please. Borders and dimensions are things that I miss a lot and I don’t want to look at other themes, as I’m quite happy with colormag in general !

I have another question, but I will open a new topic, as it’s not related.

    Best regards!

    Hi!

Sorry for the delay! I attached images of the colormag settings and the wordpress settings for columns: https://imgur.com/a/NRfSe7I

I just want to confirm that borders are possible with gutenberg, but not with colormag. Then, maybe I will ask for help with css code…

    regards

Sybre Waaijer I have to thank you very much, especially for the patience.

Yes, I don’t know how, but the “Output Twitter meta tags” was not checked. It would be too much to expect Twitter to appear in the metabox magically. I should have verified it before, but as the subsite doesn’t have the problem it didn’t occur to me that it could be a question of settings.

Here in Brazil we would say that I deserve a “Ice cream on the forehead award”:

Sorry again for the dumb question!

    best regards!

    Hi hjogiupdraftplus!

Yes, it is very strange. I hope you can discover the problem and help me, even if it is directing me to the culprit (lol).

An update: I changed the name of the login page and looks like it stopped, as before. Buuuut, I have the same problem in other site than I maintain (the 200 users site…), I changed the name of the login page and the problem persists. I changed it at about 16pm (local time), and four hours late there were around 25 failed login attempts.

    This site is: https://mundoinvisivel.org/

It just occurred to me that renaming the page will not help you any in checking the problem. Sorry! But this second site has the problem and I promise not to change anything more in it till you tell me that it is ok to do so!

    Best regards!

Hi Patrick! Very sorry for the delay in answering.

I’m in a tight schedule to finish a new site and don’t have much time now to run a conflict test, sorry. When I get some free time I will try the conflict test for sure, even if, as I told you, the new version lacks most of the features that convinced me to use it at the beginning.

A last update is that in another site, if I upgrade to blc 2.0 and use the previous engine (Broken Links (old)), it doesn’t find any broken links or redirects.

For now, I’m giving up on this plugin in this site. Maybe on the others too, as I don’t feel comfortable with a warning to update in my panel and don’t want to upgrade to a beta version that has many problems to solve yet and doesn’t give me the conveniences of the old version.

So, I will mark this as resolved, even if it’s not (lol).

I wish you good luck and will came back from time to time to see how things are going.

    Best regards

    Hi Nithin!

Old settings: increased “Timeout” & “Max. execution time”, cleared the cache, forced recheck, no difference whatsoever. I even tried to ease some security constraints, but it was of no avail.

In “BLC 2.0 Beta” the false redirects to images disappeared. Buuuut: many links reported as 403, 500 and 29 that open without any problem when I click them directly. And there is no option to edit the link in any way nor suggestions.

Anyway, I didn’t like “BLC 2.0 Beta”. It goes against some things I consider important and doesn’t have the conveniences that attracted me to Broken Linck Checker in the first place.

For now, at least, I will uninstall your plugin in this site (the old plugin is working well on the others). Can you tell me how to proceed? Do I close the account on wpmu dev before or after uninstalling? Do I have to clean any tables on the database or the plugin will do it by itself?

As you are in beta stage, I will try to give you a feedback of sorts to explain what I didn’t like:

You see, when I chose the Broken Linck Checker, some years ago, the key points for my decision were that 1. It was a plugin that ran inside my wordpress environment, what was and is important to me. 2. It was very well made, separating broken links from redirects and warning in a clear and understandable way. 3. It had some amazing conveniences: from a single window, without having to go every page that had a broken link, I could change (edit) the link or replace it, or mark it as a false positive, and I even got suggestions including links on the wayback machine that were quite important, because, as I told you, this is a old site, with lots of links to academic papers and not well known sites that change a lot over time.

Now, with BLC 2.0 Beta, I lost all this conveniences. There is no way I can edit directly the links, I don’t receive suggestions and I get a list of links without any separation between broken links and redirects. If I want to change anything, I have to open the page and edit the link there. In this way, it is not different from services based on the internet that check links in pages.

Moreover, the plugin goes to a different site to ran the checking. It is not using a external API, it is effectively going to another site from inside my wordpress environment. In my view, BLC 2.0 Beta is not a plugin, but a service, and one that you have to subscribe to use. I know many people don’t care about this, but I do.

Two other things, not related: the scanning took a lot more time in the new plugin, and used a lot of resources in doing so. My sites are not that big, so velocity is not a concern, but I thought I should mention it.

I believe that is all. I will await for your instructions about uninstalling.

    Good luck and best regards!

    Hi!

Deactivated all experiments, disabled cache, cleaned everything, regenerated the CSS. Then spent almost three hours recovering disappearing images and titles and background images. But the meta didn’t budge an inch, it is still there.

I feel there is something seriously wrong with this site. I manage three more sites and this is the only one where things won’t stay put and get changing configurations all by itself. And I run diagnostics and it says that everything is ok…

    (@arutha176)

An update: in the Blog – Single Post section on the Customizer there is no meta section where I can enable/disable the items. This section is available only in the Blog – Archives section.

If it is helpful, I’m using elementor and premium add-ons for elementor plugins…

    regards!
