In reply to: Help! All CSS formatting in wordpress posts goneHi guys,
Thanks so much for all the help.
I ran through all your suggestions twice and did everything one by one. It was the code snippet plugin I used to try to add spaced to classic editor in block editor.
Thanks again to all I can’t thank you for the suggestions, time and effort in helping.

In reply to: Help! All CSS formatting in wordpress posts goneHi Steve,
Are you seeing entire paragraphs after the H2 or are you seed smaller paragraphs of 2-3 lines each. My original is the latter.
For example, does it look like
Repotting
Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
In my correct formatting it should look like
Repotting

Then the next H2 block.

In reply to: Help! All CSS formatting in wordpress posts goneHi, thanks for the tips asuperlifestyle!
I’ve deactivated through the plugins one by one but the same things seem to keep happening.
I’ve also cleared the cache and tested the site on 2 mobile phones and all are showing the same non-formatted form with no CSS.
I’ve likewise updated the theme. I’m using Astra by the way.
From the Classic Editor, I can easily tell something’s up because when I check the text tab in the WordPress writing page and return to Visual tab it takes really long to load the original stuff I typed in.
Normally, it just goes back and forth between Visual and Text smoothly.
That said, the visual tab looks “right”, ie the paragraph formatting is there with the bunches of sentence split up.
But when you look at the text tab, only the basic html tags like H2, <P>, <ul) are there. The CSS and spacing, height WordPress normally adds are all gone.
Hope anyone has ideas on how to fix this.
PS. don’t know if this helps any.
But when I look at page source, there are still some CSS on top. But once you get to the content part, all of them are just plain text.
Only the H2 have the span class id, etc.
On the other hand, when I look at my other sites, their content parts have <p> in every link. Plus, some <p> have class id ,etc right after.

I’m using Classic Blocks in Gutenberg. And within Classic Blocks, I cannot seem to add extra spaces between pargraphs.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Yoast slowing down WP admin load timesHi, thanks for the quick response. And, thanks to everyone for sharing their experiences too. I really appreciate it.
Anyways, I’ve done a little more monitoring and Yoast doesn’t seem to affect the site itself at much. For example with Yoast Pingdom shows 1.05 s (w/ is between 477 to 656 ms). GTmetrix is even with & without ranging between 1.1 to 1.3 on multiple tests for both.
So it seems more like a WP dashboard (admin) thing.
Anyways, here are the things you asked for.1. Can you confirm you are using WordPress 5.5.1? You can check by clicking on the W in the top left and selecting About. If you need to update, please check with your host provider. Please know that if you are using an older version of WordPress Core you may experience unexpected behavior with Yoast. This guide explains more: https://yoast.com/why-we-dont-support-old-wordpress-versions/.
My dashboard says Version 5.5.12. Are all your non-Yoast plugins and themes also updated?
Yes, I updated them all along with Yoast3. How many posts and pages do you have? A 100? 1000? Or are we talking about 10s of thousands of posts and taxonomy pages?
130 posts and 4 pages (the second site has just over 100 posts); both are experiencing the same slowdown issues4. Can you confirm your server has all the right requirements? If you are not sure, speak to your host provider. This guide explains more: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/plugin-requirements/.
The WordPress version of the website currently is 5.5, you can check that from Site Tools > WordPress > Autoupdate.
The PHP version which you currently have is 7.3, you can also check that from Site Tools > Devs > PHP manager.
The MySQL version is 5.7.
The cURL version is 7.66.0
The OpenSSL is 1.1.15. On a post or page which is slowing down, if you check for JavaScript errors do any appear on that page in the backend? Can you describe them or take a screenshot? If you are not sure how to look for JavaScript errors please use this guide https://yoast.com/help/how-to-find-javascript-errors-with-your-browsers-console/.
There doesn’t look like there’s any errors. Please see attached screenshot. (oops there doesn’t seem to be any way to upload attachment here. Anyways the entire space under console came out blank) I’ve also asked my host and they’ve told me they don’t see any issues on their side. Thanks!

In reply to: [SuperMag] When using logo on ad image clicking opens new tabThanks for the reply.
I’m looking at the ‘Header Advertisement’ side bar under the Customize > Header Options menu and I’m not seeing an ‘Open in New Tab’ checkbox option.
These are the items I see (in order, from top to bottom):
============================
– Advertisement Show Option
(options are: ads image or hide)– Header Ad Image
Recommended image size of 728*90
(then an pic of the uploaded image)
then ‘Default’ and ‘Select Image’ buttons– Header Ad Image Link
(for the URL of the image)
============================That’s all the options I see in the sidebar of the Header Options menu. I’ve tried in Chrome and Firefox, the menu options are the same.
Hope you can help.
Thanks again.
