Actually as soon as I use a VPN (I live in Laos) the images display normally.

If I use the local IP then on my laptop (browsers Firefox 128.0.3 and Safari 17.5) images are not displaying. On Firefox I get the description but no image. On Safari I get 5 image placeholders. Nor do the images display on my iPhone.

Have you added some kind of country blocking? Oddly all the other images on my site display properly – it’s only the Instagram feed that doesn’t.

I don’t understand how to include a screenshot in this forum as images require URL. Suggestions??

Thanks Cory – as this only happened on one site I’ll just wait for your fix and update then.

My apologies – you are absolutely correct in that I was using the WordPress Video widget and not the SiteOrigin Video Player Widget. I guess I assumed that searching for “video” inside SiteOrigin Page Builder widget search would give me a SiteOrigin widget.

I appreciate you walking me through this. There are too many videos on the page to replace all the widgets but I’ve used SiteOrigin Video Player Widget on the post and it works fine. I’ll use it from now on.

I’ve cleared the cache numerous times so that’s not it. And looked at the page in Firefox, Chrome and Safari – no cover image on this post in any of them.

Since this widget is clearly working on a page but not on a post I don’t see the point of deactivating every single plugin.

Also as I recall there used to be a way to manually add a cover image – did you remove this functionality?

Since there are two versions of this question I’m marking this one as resolved and we can carry on the conversation on the other post.

I used the same video widget on both pages – I use SiteOrigin Page Builder to create new posts and pages.

Not sure why it’s working on the video page and not in the post.

I’ve been using SiteOrigin Page Builder and widgets for years and love the ease and versatility they provide. The fix works perfectly so I’ll close this thread now.

My host Bigscoots increased memory limits one of my accounts and so far, no crashes. Before updating I’m also checking to see if Wordfence is running a scan and if so I wait until the scan is finished to run updates.
