Good to hear that you solved the problem.
Yes i find Wordfence easier to use and does bulk of the job it is suppose to do. iThemes Security takes a bit of time to configure and i advise anyone using iThemes Security not to use default settings of Ithemes and take time to configure it according to their own requirements.
Maybe try this. I used this method and now i can log in.
Go to this link to find out how to disable all plugins to log in again
https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-deactivate-all-plugins-when-not-able-to-access-wp-admin/Once you are logged in activate all plugins one by one. Enable iThemes security last.
Then go to bottom link to setup email mobile OTP & generate backup codes in case you can’t login via OTP or email.

PS: I am not affiliated with iThemes.Disable all plugins by renaming plugins folder example plugins-deactivated via FTP and try logging in again. If it works means you can login to admin area (or not works) rename the plugins folder to its original name.

I made Mobile OTP as default as it is fast and I used Authy as this is best app better than google authenticator beacuse it works if you loose your mobile which has Authy Installed. Read Authy’s documentation properly.
