If you need client software get FileZilla client. It’s an easy interface.

If you can’t get in to the backhand to deactivate the plugin you should FTP to your site or use your hosting cPanel to manipulate the files directly.

If you want to FTP goto;

/public_html–>/wp-content–>/plugins

You should now see a list of plugins, In that frame right click and create a new directory called “Temp”. Now drag and drop the offending plugin folder into temp folder that you just created. You should now be able to get back into to WP admin.

Only do this if you are completely familiar with directory structures, you may end up making things worse. Do NOT delete anything. If you are unsure or don’t know about FTP have a look at some YouTube videos. It one of the easiest internet protocols to understand and use.

I’m pretty busy at the moment but will set up a clean WP site with just your plugin when I get a chance. Maybe something was interfering, let me see how that goes. It will be a few days before a can do this.

A bit of info for the second server;
It will be using Lightspeed and Varnish any potential problems there?

Sorry the site is on my dev server, no outside access allowed.

All caches are disable for this problem.

What about the Db problem.

Checking the database does not show any of the option names mentioned above, the only ones in the Db wp_options table are tablepress_plugin_options and tablepress_tables.

Language is a side issue I will sort that.

More importantly what about the cache issue?

All my cache settings are disabled and the language issue is only happening when logged in to the back-end.

Another strange thing happening.

I am working on site with four languages set and my default is English, it has now changed to French! the language plugin settings have not changed?

I have just about the same problem but not quite.

Firstly I installed the plugin and installed the extension you mention. It had the effect of allowing one change and the cache locked again. Uninstalled it and used the Shortcode in the page again the same thing happened, one change and locked again. Removed the last space in the Shortcode, same thing happens.

Yes resolved.

Sidebars only is a full width option since sidebars are viewed as boxes of content and widgets.

If you have a template set with columns you can use sidebars in either
but the main content page will become narrower and left justified by default.
Appearance->widgets will show you the sidebars and the widgets you have.

Go to
Pages-> All pages->Home page->edit

When the page opens scroll down and to the right you will see a section called Template, choose “Template sidebars only” Click on update.

Looks like you might be using the wrong template.
Have got the template for “Home page” set to
right one? should be side bars only.

For the top header Go to
Customize->Colors-> Looks like your not using the default color scheme, make sure the “Load customized style” box is checked. Scroll down and you will find “Header Background” where you can change the colour.

It’s the check box probably.
