In reply to: Change homepage on twenty eleven themeI tried changing the link from blog/ to blog2/ and it didn’t work, so I changed it back to blog/ but the blog page has lost it’s theme formatting and when I try logging into the admin it forwards to blog2.

In reply to: Change homepage on twenty eleven themeA typical blog post at his site would look like “www.example.com/blog/categorie/post-title/”
Mine doesn’t include the category in the URL and looks like “www.example.com/blog/post-title” without the slash at the end.
The only page on my blog that finishes with “/” is https://www.example.com/blog/.

In reply to: Change homepage on twenty eleven themeActually I’ve just looked at a blog belonging to a friend where this works properly and I see he has the same format so I’m a bit puzzled why this isn’t working correctly.

In reply to: Change homepage on twenty eleven themeOuch, I’d never thought of that (obviously). I figured that was the obvious thing to put because I see so many URLs like this and it’s then immediately clear that it’s the blog part of a site. So how would I go about fixing this? is it enough just to change the site address URL under general settings in WordPress?

In reply to: Change homepage on twenty eleven themeThanks I’ve tried that already. The problem is that afterwards all the pages look fine except /blog which shows a 404 error.

In reply to: White screen of death – Pretty LinksI have somebody working on it right now who knows my server. He was able to fix the first part quite easily but there were still 404 messages to other links so we are trying to fathom this out. It looks like WP still thinks that plugin is there for some strange reason.
Apparently a MySQL caching plugin was still trying to load and was throwing up errors saying it couldn’t find its folder under plugins.

I haven’t altered anything but it’s still blocked.

In reply to: White screen of death – Pretty LinksOK I can try doing as you suggested Peter and upload the fresh install of WP now to see if that works but I’ve sent you a quick email a second ago, so you have my email.

In reply to: White screen of death – Pretty LinksYes, plugins folder and theme folder renamed but I can’t access the home page or the admin panel.
Inside the FTP I can see wp-includes, wp-content, wp-admin and all the other normal files like wp-config.php. I’m trying to contact the developer of Pretty Links again.

In reply to: White screen of death – Pretty LinksThe problem is that I can’t get in the dashboard. Everything is just a white screen now including the admin login page.

In reply to: White screen of death – Pretty LinksI also wrote to the developer of Pretty Links to see if he had any suggestion but I haven’t had a reply yet.
