In reply to: Sidebar list is all wrong in Internet Explorer.Could you explain this to me? I read the page you linked, but looking at my css, I don’t have a width defined for my lists, just the sidebar itself, so I don’t see how I can use that fix. And the “about”, “recent comments”, “recent posts”, etc all show up correctly. It’s only the links in li tags that are pushed so far right, the rest of the sidebar is fine.
I think I’m missing something, could you elaborate? Thanks so much in advance ??

In reply to: CSS problem: Every link in sidebar looks alike? Thanks a lot for the help! Now it seems like my stylesheet is a mile long, but I guess that’s okay ?? What I don’t understand though is when you make widget-ready themes, you can’t really style the widgets because you never know what the perosn using the theme will have on their sidebar. I can only account for the standard, pre-installed widgets in my stylesheet (calendar, recent posts, etc) and anything else they download they will have to style themselves, right?
It’s confusing to me.

In reply to: How to add visible image captionsOh! I really need this as well. Something like Wikipedia has, with the pretty little captions under thumbnails and whatnot. Here is an example (on the right).

In reply to: Looking for two pluginsOh wow ,I really like how that iCal4WP thing sounds. When I got the idea for this new site, I figured I’d try something new so I installed Joomla and I’ve been trying to get things going with it… but I just couldn’t find a good tour/schedule plugin. Now I think I’ll just use WordPress since I’ve been using it since 2004 on my blog and I’m quite comfortable with it. There are just so many things you can add to it!
Anyway, I think this is the fix you were talking about, cre8tive?

In reply to: Looking for two pluginsI wish I could find a script – any script at all, not just for WP – that allows me to manage tour dates also. I just moved to a new city and noticed it doesn’t have a good website for it’s music scene… I need something like what you’re looking for :/

In reply to: Pyramid-type posts (hard to explain)It’s okay – I figured it out. It was a small thing with my old index.php file I was using. I just copied the index file from one of the default themes and worked from there. I was using my index file from wp 1.2, ha!

In reply to: Pyramid-type posts (hard to explain)But why would my errors not have made weird things happen beforehand – only after the upgrade?

In reply to: Pyramid-type posts (hard to explain)Samboll: Sorry about the nudity thing, I just picked a random archive link as an example, I forgot >.<
Moshu: Umm, it’s an ARCHIVE page – I only show the latest two posts on my main page… and the css is validated. I run a personal blog, not a business site so I don’t bother with xhtml validation because I really dont care and I’m lazy. The site is tested in firefox, ie, opera and avant and looks fine.
My site looked %100 fine before I upgraded, so this is a new problem, and not a problem with my “horrible coding”. And this isn’t an internet explorer issue – because I dont use internet exploiter – I use firefox.

In reply to: Comment Notification – won’t stop.I really want to but I skinned my site and I’m not sure if everything will look okay afterward. Is the stylesheet the same?
I realize it has options for skins now, but I did mine manually. I don’t have time to tweak 5 different themes ??
