Divi Carousel Lite doesn’t support constant smooth scrolling without pauses, as the basic functionality includes a pause when hovering over the carousel. This is part of how it operates. For more advanced or continuous scrolling, it would require additional adjustments beyond the current setup.

Currently, the Image Carousel by Divi Torque Lite plugin does not support navigating between images within the lightbox using left and right arrows. The lightbox feature is limited to viewing individual images without carousel-style navigation.

Unfortunately, I don’t have access to the same device setup as you, so I can’t replicate the issue exactly. But here’s what I think might be going on:
It seems like the WordPress app on iOS may have a bug or misconfiguration that’s resetting your discussion settings when you duplicate or save posts. Another possibility is that there’s an issue with how the app is interacting with your local WordPress installation on the Raspberry Pi. Additionally, a plugin or theme conflict could be causing this behavior. I suggest checking if your plugins and theme are up to date, or temporarily disabling them to see if that resolves the issue.
