In reply to: Website Looks Different when not logged inThis is a pretty common issue when using a cache plugin. The Siteground Optimizer plugin provides a feature to clear your cache when you are logged into the site. Look at the top administrative bar and click on “Purge SG Cache”. To test fully, you’ll also have to disable the Coming Soon plugin and view on another browser when not logged in.

In reply to: Spam CommentsWhy don’t you install an anti-spam plugin? It will help relieve you of this problem. As mentioned by @nekojonez, Akismet is one option. There’s another one I like:

In reply to: WordPress website backup and restoreWhy did your webhost delete your site? Was there malware on it?
Two ways to restore the site:
1) Your webhost should be able to restore it.
2) If you have a backup that includes all of the files AND the database, you can restore it yourself.Forum: Everything else WordPress

In reply to: [Analyticator] Google Analytics “Critical Error on your website”I got the same email notice today about Google Analyticator causing a “fatal” error. I deactivated it and things are fine now. But, why haven’t the developers resolved this problem?

In reply to: [WooCommerce Product Dependencies] Verify Previous Purchase with Order NumberHi Jason,
Thanks for your clarifications.1) We made some adjustments and now see the option in the checkout page to create a new account and to log into any existing account.
2) It sounds like we misunderstood the dependencies functionality. We thought you would be unable to purchase either product without both in the cart. I will look at the Force Sells plugin.
thank you, Anne

In reply to: [WooCommerce Product Dependencies] Verify Previous Purchase with Order NumberHi Jason,
We’ve encountered a couple of problems.
(1) As mentioned above, we set things up so that the buyer can create their account when checking out. However, this action doesn’t show up anywhere. In other words, the buyer is never prompted to create their account. How does that happen?(2) We have two products, each must be purchased together.
When I set their dependency as “Either”, the transaction only works correctly when the buyer is logged in.When I set their dependency as “Purchase”, the transaction doesn’t work at all.
The buyer is never cleared to go to their cart. They enter an endless cycle where they’re prompted to purchase the other dependent product. What am I doing wrong?thank you, Anne

In reply to: [Timely All-in-One Events Calendar] CSS Compilation…Yet I have enough memoryAs a follow-up to my message posted yesterday, I heard back from Timely support. It looks like they are limiting support of the free calendar plugin and offer a new, paid plugin to replace it.
This is their response:
Several factors can be the cause of this issue, folders / files permission, low PHP memory limit, server configuration, conflict with other plugins, various lines in the .htaccess file, etc., so in order to improve our products and prevent issues like this, we have developed a much more powerful event solution Journey, an embeddable calendar which you can easily display it on your website, where a lot more features and options are available than in the WP plugin version, and where issues like this are not possible.
We encourage you to check it out in our website so you can test for free which plan fits with your business. You can Sign up for the App, upgrade your calendar to one of the paid packages, and get a free trial period; Pro – 14 days, Hublite – 30 days and Hub – 30 days.
Please feel free to contact me if you want to find out more about this version, features or you have other questions.

In reply to: [Timely All-in-One Events Calendar] CSS Compilation…Yet I have enough memoryI have the same problem. Tried re-saving the settings. Tried solution offered above:
admin/event/setting/avanced
activate the box with a chek that says
Link CSS in <head> section when file cache is unavailable.Nothing solved the problem. Next, I’ll submit a ticket with their HELP desk.
I got this message, too, with another host. They checked and verified that the site is already on TLS 1.2. So, yes, I think this is a plugin issue. Thanks all!
OK, sorry about that!
It seems that the problem isn’t entirely resolved. I also received the same Wordfence alert:
Modified plugin file: wp-content/plugins/wps-hide-login/classes/plugin.phpI uninstalled, then reinstalled it, which seemed to solve the issue on 1 site. But on the other, it looks like my host blocked it and hid it because I no longer saw it in my plugins folder. I reinstalled again a few minutes ago and the same thing happened. Are there any bugs with WPS Hide Login that is prompting my host to block its use?
