In reply to: Simple blog post title search iconThanks for your very quick reply!
Also for taking the time to put it together. I’ll give it a try…
but so no simple WP plugin that will work for that then?
Thanks again!

In reply to: [Hemingway] Add next / previous on each post pageok yes… i see it. Thank you for your reply.
I guess i was thinking of something like i’ve seen on other blog posts where you wouldn’t have to scroll to the very bottom but it appears as a slideout or similar (see arrow on left and right) near the top of the post like this page…. https://gch.gracechurchhouston.com/are-you-open/ (Jupiter theme)but it may not be available on Hemingway theme.

In reply to: remove search icon in header bannerThis free version doesn’t show anything in Widgets section other than the standard sidebar, footer, and any custom ones i create with the plugin. There’s a blank meta widget on the left but no place to enter code. I wrote InkHive template developer and it sounds like there are more options like you mentioned in the pro version.
I’m still searching in the code for the right place to enter the “display none”.
Thanks for you help…Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: remove search icon in header bannerI looked in the Appearance > Customize > Heading (and other options in Customize) but didn’t see an option to remove the search icon in the header banner for this Revive theme.

In reply to: remove search icon in header bannerThank you, Bootsgrid…
I don’t see any line numbers at that link… it’s a solid page of code so i’ll do a bit of searching.
I’m considering just purchasing the Pro version of the theme and just use the Customizers it includes.
I appreciate you help and input.
Thank you both for your replies.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Revive] Revive header image too largeI can try that code again in a different place – maybe it was out of position. Can you tell me where it needs to be in the code?
I’ve been trying different things and as you can see, the space between header image and content is reduced – more back to a normal distance… but the header is still not as short vertically as it is in the example of the Revive theme and also it is operating differently when I drag and reduce the width of the screen on my computer from screen size to mobile size. What you see of the masthead image is different.
Compare my site: https://gch.gracechurchhouston.com/
to theme site: https://www.ads-software.com/themes/revive/Thanks for any input you may have, Manoj (or anyone else) ??

In reply to: [Revive] Revive header image too largeI went ahead and tried the code you sent but it didn’t work right.
Using Inspect, I’m looking at the differences in the container size for the two sites and they are different. Maybe there’s a way to adjust my header image to a different size to match theirs…. ?
and ideas appreciated.
Thank you ??Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Revive] Revive header image too largeBefore i try changing the css, i thought i’d try changing the setting back to Contain and it does shorten the height of the masthead banner but leaves a huge amount of empty space before the content begins (seen here):
https://gch.gracechurchhouston.com/
and it’s still not the narrower height as seen in the sample Revive template here:
https://www.ads-software.com/themes/revive/
Also the logo drops below the banner image when narrowed as on a phone view.
Can you see the reason for this? Or should i just try the change in css? I was concerned that setting a specific height on masthead (300) might not allow responsive behavior but i may be missing a point here. ??
Thank you,

In reply to: [Hemingway] Sidebar non shown on mobileWell Herman… I’m not sure what has happened but after all this, it appears to be finally fixed. (Did you do something?) I know I’ve refreshed the screen and checked settings and bugged you alot, but I’m now seeing the sidebars at the bottom of the page of all pages on our phones.
I do appreciate your patience in sticking with me and all my questions.
Are you the developer of this theme – Hemingway?
Thanks again!

In reply to: [Hemingway] Sidebar non shown on mobileI have an iphone 5s but using Safari… not seeing them.
My friend has an iphone 7 using Safari… not seeing them.
So Androids won’t see them at all then? or maybe if they use Chrome.
I’m just trying to see where we are with it and hoping i don’t have to change themes because i do like this one overall.Do you have any suggestions to help make this more universal? or why it’s not working on iphone 7? Do you detect any problem in the code of my site that may be causing this problem?
Or maybe i have to find a work around like make a graphic that looks like the sidebar and insert it on the page? maybe that might work?
