In reply to: Oops! I lost my blog! When I tried the url https://www.mysite.com/ I then get this error message:
Warning: Unexpected character in input: ‘\’ (ASCII=92) state=1 in /homepages/11/d247793599/htdocs/…./wordpress/wp-config.php on line 2
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /homepages/11/d247793599/htdocs/…./wordpress/wp-config.php on line 2
Any suggestion on how to correct that?
I check my wp-config.php and no ‘\’ there.

In reply to: Oops! I lost my blog!In my case, when I tried to change the WordPress URL into
https://www.mysite.com/ from https://www.mysite.com/wordpress
but keep the blog URL at
https://www.mysite.com/wordpress
then I started to get 404 Not Found error.I have deleted all the files, then reupload, but still getting the same 404 error.
By chance I added the slash to the end of wordpress/ and got into mysite, but when I changed back the setting of wordpress URL to make both of them using the wordpress folder, I got the same error again.
My plan is to delete all the files (since this is a new site I set up for a friend), then reinstall from scratch. But I just wonder, is there away to replace one file only and not the whole wordpress 2.6?
Thanks.

In reply to: Why suddenly I could not open my siteI don’t know. I was using Mistylook 3.5. Since Sadish has already updated it to 3.6.1, and I could not figure out what was wrong so I just uplinked the new Mistylook 3.6.1 and it seems to work fine now. Thanks for asking.

In reply to: automatic target=”_blank” in all comments linksI put a link in this comment:
https://www.atanone.net/how-to-increase-your-alexa-ranking/#comment-5033
to Doug Karr’s posting on nofollow. I’m not sure if adding target=’_blank’ in that line would work. But please, make sure you have a back-up file. ?? Also, please let us know what happens.Forum: Fixing WordPress

In reply to: Mouseover and the widget make them move up and down on FFThanks, Clayton. I tried to set it to 0 but it didn’t work. If you think it is related to Mistylook stylesheet, I’ll see if Sadish will help us on this.

In reply to: Avatars in sidebar with Recent CommentsI just visited your site, and I saw you already have some gravatars there. What tutorial do you actually need? Sadish’s free themes such as Mistylook that I used in my site already have gravatar in sidebar. I wrote my experience setting up gravatar using Sadish Mistylook theme at this posting. At least it gives my visitors the link to gravatar site. I came across this one, Is your avatar a gravatar? through the links on gravatar site.

In reply to: How to Add rel=nofollow to Blogroll Links?Just wonder what happen to WP 2.5.1? I still have the same problem as with 2.3.3 and could not type anything to rel box. Looking at edit-link-form.php and don’t know where to put the code above. If you can tell what is in line 113 and line 114, it would be great so I know exactly where to past these codes. Thanks.

In reply to: Video only shows up at HOMEI just talked to Nurudin Jauhari of https://www.jauhari.net and he suggested to put the absolute path to java script and it works. Thanks Mr. Jauhari.

In reply to: Video only shows up at HOMEOh, ok. I reread your post and understand that it’s what you saw inside the script in both cases. That answers the tag in the beginning and at the end of what you listed there. Is this the problem of where to place the script reference? I don’t know if that is the right word, i.e., reference, but you know, usually in a webpage, we place the script tag in the header. I was thinking that the script should only wrap the video codes and not the whole page like what you’ve capture. Any pointer?
Thanks.

In reply to: Video only shows up at HOMEI don’t know how did you get those codes, swikan. I also don’t understand how the whole codes started with a script calling tag on the first line and ended with the script closing tag. It basically wraps the html tag in both pages. I didn’t see the same code when I use View Source in both IE and FF. Is this the result of inspect element? Also, it seems like these are the codes for the container and I didn’t see the contents there.
Any suggestion?
Hey, really appreciate your taking time to answer. Thanks,

In reply to: Video only shows up at HOMEI also found “Inspect This” and “Inspect Elements” add on software but there is no user guide and I still don’t know how to use it.
