Thanks for the reply.
Is that file identical for all WP-Optimize installations? (Looking at it for two different sites, it appeared to be, and the file size was identical.)
Is there a reason it’s not in the WPO folder? Strictly from a practical standpoint, having it in the main (root) uploads folders with all my image files is not great because it complicates management of other files in that folder.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] WordProof integration privacy implicationsAre you actually going to add a warning on the integration page? You left that unclear.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] WordProof integration privacy implicationsThe concern is not leaks; the concern is whether that data can be rectified or erased if it becomes subject to a request by the data subject under applicable law. (I think the GDPR, at least, would regard hashed personal data as pseudonymized personal data, but personal data nonetheless.) I’m guessing the answer is “no,” since that would presumably compromise the integrity of the blockchain.
This poses some complex legal questions, and while I’m no lawyer, I think they’re significant enough that the integration should have some kind of user warning, to the effect of, “Please be aware that a hashed version of the timestamped page, including any personal information or personal data it may contain, will be permanently saved in the blockchain.”

In reply to: [Redirection] Check Redirect not workingWell, that’s what I’m not understanding: If I click on any of the redirects in the list to manually test them, they load and redirect as normal, so the redirects themselves appear to be functional, although the Check Redirect tool doesn’t work on any of them that I’ve tried, always returning the same error.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] WordProof integration privacy implicationsIn terms of “control,” an obvious concern is whether any personal data contained in the timestamped content would no longer be able to be erased or rectified, by the nature of the blockchain. Granted, the nature of a privacy policy or terms & conditions page is a bit different in this respect than other types of content, but those pages might still contain personal data such as the names, telephone numbers, and email addresses of specific contact people (a DPO, for example, or a service provider who is responsible for specific customer service functions). If the content is updated (for instance, to reflect a change in the DPO), is the old information still a permanent part of the blockchain, unable to be erased or rectified?
Such issues may be an intrinsic aspect of the blockchain model, but if so, it seems appropriate to include some clear warnings to the user, who may not find that acceptable or may need to take prior steps to manage these issues before timestamping a page.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] WordProof integration privacy implicationsIt’s been a full month and there’s been no response to this. My testiness about the necessity of these integrations notwithstanding, I think that asking about what personal data the integration collects and who controls the use of that data remains a reasonable question.

In reply to: [Astra] Reducing spacing after lists@bsfherman I can’t see that there’s anything I could tell your Support Portal about the issue than I already have here.

In reply to: [Astra] Reducing spacing after listsI only have the one default theme assigned — I don’t use it except for troubleshooting.

In reply to: [Astra] Reducing spacing after lists@bsfherman — No, in Twenty Twenty-Two, there are no blank
<p></p>
or extra<hr>
tags.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Astra] Adjusting container padding@bsfherman I updated to 3.9 and tried again, doing exactly as you showed in your video. However, it continues to have no effect whatever: I can raise or lower those numbers all I want, but there’s no actual effect on the amount of padding.

In reply to: [Astra] Reducing spacing after listsI took another look at this and I see what you mean about there being blank
<p></p>
tags and/or<br>
tags on those pages on the front end, after the closing</ul>
or</ol>
of a list. However, the extra paragraph tags or breaks are NOT visible in the Classic Editor at all, either when viewing as Text or HTML. Therefore, I can’t remove or change them at all; those extra tags don’t appear to be part of the post content for those pages.

In reply to: [Astra] Reducing spacing after listsThat’s very, very strange — I always edit pages offline (in Notepad++), in HTML, and there are no empty
<p></p>
tags in the HTML, which means that the WordPress editor is adding them for unknown reasons.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Astra] Adjusting container paddingIt is not, unfortunately — I’m not set up for that — but I did exactly what you did in your video, except that nothing changed except the numeric values — nothing changed in the preview window, and when I tried hitting “Publish,” I checked the front end and found nothing at all had changed there either.

In reply to: [Astra] Reducing spacing after listsI’m talking about spacing of OL or UL elements within the body of a post. For example, if you look in this Your California Privacy Rights page on that site, you’ll notice that there’s a lot of space after each OL element (numbered list).

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Error while downloading backupThere are two other sites on the same server. They were only affected by the browser lockup (as were any other browser tabs I had open); there were no download or 404 issues. (I had taken database backups on all three sites and the issue occurred when downloading the first.)
I don’t have access to PHP error logging, and I don’t think it’s currently enabled by my host.
