Hi Ruben,
This was an intentional change for a few reasons. One is that by doing it this way we don’t force the customer to be awarded a gift they might not want, then have to remove it from their cart (unlikely but possible). Two, it encourages more interaction with your site – the claiming process gives more of a feeling of getting the gift as opposed to having it added automatically.
To be honest, there are pros and cons to both ways of doing it, but I’ll see if we can provide an option for store owners to decide how they want the gifts to be awarded (manually or automatically). Give us a week to work on this please.- This reply was modified 9 months, 1 week ago by aThemes.

For anyone else reading this, please note that there was an incompatibility reported between the Hello Elementor theme and Merchant. This is now fixed.

Can I ask what you mean by ‘menu lines’? We just did a test with the menu on mobile and it is working correctly from what we can tell. It would be helpful if you could link to a site where we can see this issue or if you could attach a screenshot.
