I just solved this problem! I was having the SAME issue and narrowed it down to changing the Title of my site under SETTINGS> General > Title. I had put a “>>” symbol in between two words as a seperator and this must have somehow scrambled the way the mail is routed. I changed the symbol to “|” and the problem corrected.
