Seems to be a screwed up theme, installed a different one and the pages now display.

Yes, the content is on all of the pages, I can edit them as normal.
The database was not impacted, I ran the WP update to the latest version, updated all the plugins and themes, and replaced the .htaccess file.

Now, only the header displays on the site.

The pages are all there in the Admin panel.

Well it looks like the sites have all been hacked again so replacing WP core files and changing admin passwords didnt work.

The hosting company is no help so can anyone recommend a WP expert to help clean hacked sites and prevent them returning?

Thanks for the quick reply, tried the string locator and there were a few instances in the database, none in the code. I deleted them all and it appears to have solved the issue – the account isn’t returning!

The “can_compress_scripts” value was already set to “0”.

Justify all you want, how many problem topics in this section are about the 4.6 “upgrade”. There is obviously an issue here with the latest release.

Maybe if 4.6 worked in the first place there wouldn’t be a problem to discuss.

Have tried a full reinstall of 4.6, have disabled all plugins.

The only thing that worked for me is going back to a 4.5.x backup. These “upgrades” cause more problems than they fix.

Have tried them – the problem remains so please do NOT mark this topic as resolved as it is far from it.

Obviously a problem with 4.6 then since no suggestions on a fix have been put forward – rolling back to a version that worked is the only solution.

Same problem for some users on Chrome, Firefox seems to be ok.

It was an ‘ownership issue’ for that folder.

A few similar problems like this have cropped up since the core update to 4.4

Same problem – I cant delete the files in FTP or using cPanel file manager so I think it is a server issue.

Will contact the host.

Thanks, had the hosting company install ‘Mod_Ruid2’ on the server which solved the problem.
