  • I am having exactly this same problem on my WP Multisite WC (domain mapped to site).

Before opening a new post/ticket, I am just curious (seeing as Mike Jolley and Simon had gone private to get this fixed) if this had been resolved? Thanks.

kawaiikawaii, “bad practice” is when you leave a negative review because a great free product does not do x or y unreasonable features that benefits only you and puts everyone else at risk of breaking the software. Take your head out of your arse and please grow some sense next time you besmirch an otherwise great (even according to you yourself) and untarnished product.

To Ben and the gang, disregard this unenlightened excuse of a review and do not be dissuaded from continuing to build on your wonderful product. There will always be people like this and it is in no way a reflection of WCVendors that in our use blows all the other multi-tenant/multi-vendor market plugins (including exorbitantly priced ones) out of the water.

kettlekabin- do you want fries with that as well?

You’re seeking a custom feature and blame the software for not having it? That’s like blaming Photoshop because it doesn’t make easy graphs and tables like you do in Excel.

It is clear that most of the people posting negative (or in this case, one-star) reviews are those who just signed up or don’t follow instructions or simply can’t do with the process of asking help first before making a negative review about something they apparently don’t know about (and blame the plugin/software and authors for). Putting the cart ahead of the horse so to speak.

eraybozkurt — “Tested. Not working”? That’s it? What was your setup and what were the conditions by which it didn’t work? And a multitude of other questions. Conflicting with the many many thousands of others that made it work, and work very well?

Thank you for your speedy, very thoughtful response, Ben. This is the kind of treatment that make your users champion you and your product.

What you say makes a lot of sense, particularly the potential for conflicts and support issues. It is also sad how WC isn’t fully Multisite compatible given how less popular products (EDD and Marketpress) strive to be; but just like you’ve noted elsewhere how it’s almost amusing their Product Vendors pale in comparison to WCVendors yet they charge an arm and a leg for it, this may be something not high on their list either; and something more people should clamor for, considering how it would be great to have multisite installs not just provide sites/blogs and individual stores, but the power (like WCV) for each account to be able to operate their own marketplaces from within said hosted environment.

Will see about digging into this more as well, but am glad that however low, it’s in your radar. For now, thank you, Ben.

OK that makes sense; but aye, that is what was puzzling, because but it actually didn’t work (W3TC) for when it was themes that were updated (it worked for updates to general content like posts and comments; or when manually purging via button/menu; but not when themes were changed).

That is what led me to install VHP in the first place, and that’s what made it work (after disabling W3TC).

Absolutely, Mika. And fwiw (and future updates), at first it didn’t seem work, but it turns out, it seemed to go in conflict with W3 Total Cache, and when I disabled WT3C, everything went great.
