rather than YT videos, i’d suggest simply adding some tips into the plug-in options pages, and maybe some tool-tips (mouse hover) – doesn’t have to be anything fancy, just some simple text explaining each option

one issue that causes a problem is if i use any plug-in to combine css – in every case this breaks how the child pages div’s display on the fron t page (and only on the front page)

problem exists with 2013 and 2014 themes

or, what i recently did, is to install Plugin Organizer…

with that, you can easily disable scripts globally without having to edit the theme functions.php file

than you can allow the scripts on a per-page basis right from the page/post editor – in may case, i disabled only CF7 and Wp-Pro-Quiz globally, then allowed the loading of those scripts on the respective pages

the best solution would be if the plugin author did this by enqueuing the css/js only on the quiz pages (if possible)

also isn’t working with the 2014 wp theme

the theme is twenty-thirteen with custom css only – no theme file changes or WP core file changes

if it worked 10 months ago, than i would have been using it all along ??
i just reinstalled it a few days ago, hoping the bugs i had before might be resolved

no JS console errors

disabled all other plugins and results were the same

the images on the front page are not displayed when i select Apply to content, and/or Apply to post thumbnails – they display fine when images and/or embed options are selected, but after clearing browser cache and loading a long page with many images and embeds, all of the page content is loaded at once

the extension i was using for this purpose started working again, so i reverted back to it

found the problem – it was a browser extension issue that others are very unlikely to run into

fyi – the “problem” with WP Fastest Cache is that it doesn’t delete the cache immediately, but rather runs a script to reduce server load (which seems strange), so that’s why i wasn’t seeing the changes i made with announcer until a after a delay

so, no incompatibility with WP Fastest Cache i would say

looks like there may be a conflict with WP Fastest Cache, but i can’t say for sure

several times i dumped the cache both on the server side and my browser and they were not working, then i disabled and re-enabled Faster Cache and they are showing now

however…

i cannot link any text using the ‘link’ UI because it is impossible to close it – the ‘x’, ‘cancel’ and ‘add link’ buttons, as well as Esc, do not exit the UI (the same UI works fine for posts/pages)

which brings up another thought – maybe it would be good to allow ‘0’ in the future date field for non-expiring announcements – v3 doesn’t seem to allow this and sets the announcement to inactive

thanks Nick – i’ll try it again, but i don’t believe it was generating any images at all, which is why i was looking for an options page
