    This is impossible to fulfill because, as I can see, the example you use is made in the Classic WordPress Editor.
    Instead, I have ALL my articles and pages, built with the Page Builder layout by Site Origin.
    And, when I want to Revert to the Classic Editor it asks me …
    Would you like to clear the content of your Page Builder and use the standard visual editor back?
    Something that, of course, is not going to happen because, I am not going to DELETE the 3290 words that the article has to fix a line of code.

    And the same goes for …

    As I said, my post was created from scratch within the Page Builder visual layout and, there is NO way to reverse that, without deleting ALL the content.

    Ah. By the way, I can tell you that, a while ago, I made a similar proposal to the Yoast Seo developer who, like a lot of (too many) of those we complained about, suggested us (among other things that …

    Tired of looking for solutions, I listened to him and … soooo! The traffic lights turned green again.

    So I started activating them one by one, leaving for the end, the 2 “suspects” (the Page Builder and the Caché). And guess what … I was able to edit the classic editor just fine! But …

    When I finished activating all, I activated the cache (W3TC) to take advantage of cleaning and, only at the end of the Page Builder.
    And 2 (two) things happened:
    1) All traffic lights turned red
    2) All the changes I made in the Classic Editor “disappeared” !!!
    Ergo, I stopped trying, I communicated it to the Yoast developer (who by the way “assumes” that the conflict is Page Builder with Yoast and not the other way around, heh!) And, frankly, I’m hoping that, some of the 2 (or both), find a solution.
    But going back to our business, I was telling you that I can’t operate as you suggest but …

    PS: It would not make much sense to deactivate the Page Builder plugin and do as I did that time, because, as I said, I could actually edit but, as soon as I reactivated the plugin, there was NO change to the ones I made in the classic editor.
    And, of course, the source code would not contain anything that refers to Page Builder. Ergo, it would not make practical sense for your analysis.

    I do not know how to do that but, I am going to show you step by step, in the following screenshots, what is happening and then, I am going to do the same with the source code, to see if that can help to locate the problem.

    It does not make much sense because, precisely, the problem is generated when, precisely, I am using the visual layout of v / plugin.

    The only “claim” Yoast makes to me is that …

    But that is a “trick” that I do on purpose with ALL SEO titles, so that they are noticed a little against so many results in Google.

    I must admit that … you are GREAT! ??

    I just implemented your recommendations and IT WORKS !!!

    Obviously, the X instead of another click (as other drop-downs have) is not ideal but, it still serves to do that, the visitor, if he does not want to search for something specific, can close the dialog box and continue with something else .

    Finally, as for the change in the placeholder text … Believe me, since I installed the plugin I tried to change it!

    Anyway.

    It never occurred to me that it was as easy as I did by following your instructions.
    That said, an opportunity for improvement …

    Why don’t you add it to the Instructions for Use?
    Believe me that, like me and, especially if they are from Latin countries, there are many users who want to change that text.

    Hi @alexalp and @purplelightsoftware.

    For Alex. Just tell you what I did to solve this and that, of course, is directly related to what the author of this plugin mentions.

    Although, strictly speaking, I don’t know that EVERYTHING I did is what made the plugin work. But, for what it’s worth, I’ll detail my experience.
    In 1st. Instead, a couple of days ago, I installed it for the 1st. time and honestly it didn’t work out.

    Ergo, I came to this forum to see what it could be and, in principle, when I saw both this comment (which talks about what does not work about … “excluding non-European countries” …) and that of another that spoke of that, directly … “it does not work” … I simply un-installed it.

    And that I had even tried that of … “install it by ftp” … but, in my case, what I did was, directly, download it to my pc and upload it from my cPanel.
    But after, honestly, I spent hours (literally) something to “replace” it, I came back here and, I started to READ better what was stated by the author of the plugin.
    This is: In this case, upload it by ftp and, in the other the “compression” of the js file.

    In fact, I don’t know what made it work but, as I said and, in case it helps someone else, I will simply describe what I did:

    1) I downloaded the plugin file to my pc.

    2) I opened it and, I also opened the JS file.

    3) I looked for a JS file compressor online and uploaded these files one by one to this tool. I compressed them, deleted the “original” and took the min extension from the tablet. added by the compression tool. In other words, I had a file with the same name as the original, but compressed. And, to these files, I put them back in the JS folder.

    4) BEFORE uploading the “original” plugin file (already “fiddled” as I described in 3)), I went to my wordpress administrator and, I deactivated my cache plugin (in my case W3TC) and, in addition, I put my Cloudflare account in “Development Mode”. That is, it no longer had any cache.

    5) I uploaded the plugin file to my plugin folder and, once there, I unzipped it. Then I deleted the .zip file that I had uploaded.

    6) I updated my wordpress, I tried 1st. without “nothing” that is, activated without any “special” configuration and soooo! The bar appeared.

    7) Then I tried that, … “it disappears when they start to scroll” … and, it worked.

    8) Finally, I added the “European countries” thing, I tried it again in “incognito mode” and soooo! To me (I’m not from Argentina), it no longer appeared.

    It only remained to know if it appeared in European countries. So I used a security tool that I have installed that “disguises” the IP of my pc “as if” it were in another country / s in Europe and soooo! IT WORKED.

    Ergo, it only remained to see if it worked with ALL caches working, so I activated everything again (my cache plugin – W3TC – and my Cloudflare account), cleared ALL caches and did the same tests mentioned above (but added: Argentina , Brazil – so that it does not activate – and, Germany so that it does) and … IT WORKED !!!

    Excuse the “can” but, I think it was worth it because, as I said before, I “went crazy” (literally) to find something like that and, frankly, I found it a “mischief” that there are no more users who can take advantage of it.

    I hope that my opinion will help this EXCELLENT plugin to have more and more users.
    And you, its creators, remember that whoever subscribes is “half crazy”, but also has the time and the will to do what they did.

    Ergo, I hope it serves as a background but, please, if you are going to “touch it” again, let us know in advance.

    It is not a thing that, with this plugin, what happens to me – even today – happens to me with the famous Yoast who, at the beginning, marked all my articles as OK (green traffic lights) and now not (and that I did not touch them “)

    And, obviously I am not the only one with this problem because, if they enter the forum of said plugin they will see that there are a lot of (literal) with the same problem, before which, their authors say something like that …” when content is added using a page builder plugin “… (in my case Site Origin Page Builder)

    Although, in my case, we are talking about ALL my content, it was created BEFORE, ALL Yoast users , we started having these problems.

    In other words, when I created my articles (with Site Origin), Yoast worked correctly but then it started to crash.

    Now yes, I leave you. And I hope so much “can” has served for something. See you!

    Coming from a true technology professional, it’s a compliment. Thank you.
    Although, strictly speaking, I am a complete neophyte of technology and, among us … I hate her!
    But, as on the other hand, I need it, I took the job of analyzing all of them and each of the comments I found among the 30 support pages of the plugin (almost 5 years ??
    The rest is pure “effort” and “perseverance” (I have been trying to end my site for almost 1 year and, since I could not pay a professional webmaster, I started to find out everything I could to do it on my own, je !)
    Anyway, from what I see, I will have to wait for the “blessed” update you are talking about but good.

    Hi I doubt:
    First of all, thanks for responding.
    That said, I tell you that …
    1) On my site, I already tried with almost ALL the “compatible” plugins you mention (excess WP-Rocket that is paid) and, frankly, I stayed with W3TC because, it had unique characteristics with respect to the others (For example one better integration with precisely Cloudflare).
    2) On the other hand, it was the only plugin that solved the vast majority of the “problems” that “forced” me to solve PageSpeed ??(For example, the fucking … “Eliminate the JS that blocks the rendering” … )
    3) Finally, I’ve been (literally) months, trying to find the ideal configuration of this plugin (looking for information in different media).
    Ergo, disable it and, start over, trying another plugin, for me, it’s not a “viable” option, heh!
    I prefer to wait for you to solve it and send the corresponding update and / or some code (for my hatcces.php and / or config.php and / or function.php) to which, fortunately, I have direct access.
    Or, if I could read in one of the 30 pages I read (the last 5 years, heh!) Of the support page, you prefer to give me a line of code to insert into the same plugin ??
    Anyway, I prefer to wait for you then, as I said, I plan to take my site to the air, in a couple of weeks and, prior to that, correct the WPO problems that remained unresolved.
    And, as you probably know, the cache with more other performance problems (which the W3TC plugin helped me solve), are essential to try to speed up the site as much as possible (because, in itself, I made the mistake of use a template too “heavy” to which, on top, I added a “truck”, heh!).

    Another yes, I say:

    I already tried deactivating the plugin and activating it again, and there was no case.

    On the other hand, I now notice that, the qualifications of some of my articles (not all), still appear even if, I enter “Incognito mode” from a cell phone.

    That is to say, when a visitor qualifies an article, said qualification remains for all new visitors.

    Ergo, when a new visitor enters the same article, the message “… You have already voted …” appears and, therefore, DOESN’T LET IT VOTE.

    In relation to this topic, I have just “discovered” the following:

    When the plugin is set to “Daily” (Programmed Copy) and, I make a manual copy (after the “established” time), when wanting to restore the copy generated in said “scenario”, I see the same error as the one described above .
    That is, said copy, too, appears as done in an http site when, as I said, my site is https.

    This I just observed when, doing tests, to see if I could solve the problem on my own and, reading other answers to users of this plugin that, manifested the same problem, I changed the settings from “Daily” to “Manual” and, I proceeded to make a backup which, when wanting to restore, threw the “famous” error of … “was done when your site was on http” …

    In summary and, in my humble opinion, the problem is in the programming process.

    That is, when the plugin is “programmed” (either “Daily” or “Manual”), the site’s backup fails.

    I hope this helps solve the problem as soon as possible.

    PD1: Actually, I’ve found out about other plugins but, honestly, yours stands out above all in questions such as …
    1) It is very easy to configure.
    2) It connects to Google Drive “in a twist” and, without big “settings”.
    3) It allows you to restore EVERYTHING, also … “in a touch” …

    PD2: However, could you solve the backup with wp-cron deactivated?
    Sure you know the pros and cons of keeping said wordpress native cron and, frankly, to “satisfy” the “needs” of a plugin is a “mischief” have to leave said cron active so that Updraftplus can perform ONE ONLY task (do a daily backup).
    For my part, I solved it by creating a cron task that is activated per minute. That is, more than enough time for Updraftplus to complete its task.
    I mention them because, this inconvenient, other backup plugin already have it resolved.
