In reply to: [WP Post Nav] Next and Previous wrong way roundDecided just to go ahead and try it, it worked, but my archives were all in the wrong order, so I just found a small plugin that reversed the order of the archives. Thanks for taking the time to explain. I guess in most cases the sort order showing the most recent post works, but navigating next and previous gets complicated when you’re showing historical context.
Thanks again.

In reply to: [WP Post Nav] Next and Previous wrong way roundI think I got it now, so basically the oldest post needs to have the newest date? So I need to reverse the published dates in bulk? I’ll email you and show you what I mean.
Really appreciate the help.

In reply to: [WP Post Nav] Next and Previous wrong way roundFor a bit extra information, the posts go like this (in the admin area for this category)
Story 1 (newest publishing date)
Story 2 (second newest etc)
Story 3
Story 4So when I click Story 1, it shows only previous (instead of next) as Story 2. If I click on Story 2 it shows next as Story 1(should be previous) and previous as Story 3 (should be next) etc.
Hope this makes some kind of sense.

In reply to: [WP Post Nav] Next and Previous wrong way roundHi, I went ahead and bulk edited my posts to make sure that the first one I want to display had the most recent date. I then disabled the plugin to stop it’s sort method. I tried using switch display but when I click on the 1st post, it shows “previous” as the next post?
So in summary, it’s using wordpress functions now the plugin is disabled, I’ve sorted posts so published date reflect newest to the first I want to show, but still not working as it should. Is there an email I can send a link to, I’d rather not put it here.
Also, I thought switch display only moved the positions of the next/previous not change the sort order?
Hi, here is the screenshot

In reply to: [Collapse-O-Matic] Collapse via classHi thanks for your reply, I have emailed you some details.
Yes, to retroactively have ability to collapse blocks of code based on a CSS class. There is only one block of code per post, so one trigger should be fine.
Please see email with link and questions.
Very much appreciate the help.
I couldn’t reply I was away on holiday and recently returned. I’ll revisit and re-open another ticket when I try this out again.

In reply to: [SEO Plugin by Squirrly SEO] Want to switch.. but ..Thank you kindly for your detailed and considered response, I can see that there is an import for SEO framework which helps alleviate some of my concerns. The only other is a potential clash for my many “how to” pages which are set up with a schema plugin.
The resources were indeed helpful, and am very close to making the switch, gutted that I missed the appsumo deal, so will probably be on the free plan for a while.

In reply to: [snip - Structured Data & Schema] Curl errorHi Flo, thanks for the response and the link to the fix, can confirm it’s now working as it should. Hopefully this is me getting steps closer to switching to SNIP.

In reply to: [Debloat - Remove Unused CSS, Optimize JS] Works well, but…Is there a way to contact you less publicly ? So I can send links and the like? I will try what you said about the exclusions. I did disable it for admins, but logged out the pages were still slower (background processing?).
WOuld be great to get in touch and discuss further.

In reply to: [SearchIQ - The Search Solution] External CSS/JS slow in waterfallHi,
Am using SWift performance, which seems to have speeded things up massively, don’t know yet if that’s because of preconnect or caching. Would still be better I think if we could host locally. Am a pro user, maybe an option for pro use?

In reply to: [LiteSpeed Cache] Crawler deactivated by hostThen that’s strange, because previous to running this siteanalyser pages were slow to load, all of them once the cache had been cleared. Visiting them once, then visiting them again manually as I said made the huge difference. Tested with GT metrix, gave poor score first time, then re-testing (after page visited) give an A score and the page loaded like lightning.
So, crawled via siteanalyser then every page I checked loaded really quickly. Obviously you know more about the caching etc, but this was my experience, and still is. I tried it again today. Doesn’t LS cache a page when it’s visited? How does it work?
I noticed Lisa Clark talking about a lighter version of the LS crawler that won’t need server permissions etc this would be a godsend. There’s talk on there of these crawlers working, but not “heating” the cache?

In reply to: [LiteSpeed Cache] Crawler deactivated by hostHi,
Happily, I found a solution, not perfect, but it will do.
I configured it to crawl slowly through the site, and it acts the same way. My site is huge, so trying to keep the cache alive is tricky. Am wondering if I can just remove all the triggers to clear the cache, and just do a purge all when I’ve made changes. Or just purge the page I’ve edited etc?
Anyway, all is not lost with this Site Analyser which of course has the massive advantage of giving me SEO information as well.
Best wishes
