I disabled plugins til the problem went away, and after I disabled WP Foro, the problem disappeared. Notifications showed in the admin bar, and they showed in the Notifications list.

Got it to work, it’s to do with not deferring the Enlighter java

It is the regular editor role I’ve checked it with, I did think it had something to do with using an access manager plugin, but the problem arose before that plugin was installed. I tried disabling that (nothing set). Still won’t allow the editor to update the image. I’m thinking maybe I could create a custom role and see if that would work. That’s all I have left to get to the bottom of this.

As I say as an administrator, it just updates the file without hitch, so it’s weird if there’s no checks once the form is shown.

Thanks for replying, but as I mentioned originally, that’s what I’ve done (record edit access for admins etc).

After some further testing it transpires that it’s only the images that they can’t update. They can update everything else, just not that additional field for uploaded image. I’m guessing it may be a permissions thing, but I checked the upload folder and it’s writable.

Any ideas? I’ve two editors now neither seems to be able to update records? No errors, just nothing is updated.

No, not set to read only. Checked that for the field. As I say, it allows me to update it ?

Thanks for the reply, how can I “hook the ‘wpsso_filter_content’ filter and return true” ? What does that mean?

I have disabled the settings, is that what you wanted me to do?

Is it possible to do enable content filters without buying the pro version?

I have another plugin Block Filter Output by JSM, would that do it?

I have that many plugins, I don’t know where to begin trying to find out which one. I could disable all, then re-enable one by one, but what if it’s a conflict of two plugins combined. It’s the only page where the links break. It’s not just the filterable buttons, it stops all links working on that page.

For now, I’ve disabled all the filter options and the page works again, but it’s them that are causing the problems. If I get more time at a future date, I could try disabling plugins, but am just too busy at the moment to sort it out. I can’t think what would break all links.

Yes, not only did it break my gravatars, it broke the avatars on my buddypress. So annoyed.

I looked, but couldn’t really see anything that applied. It’s one of those things that works in one browser, but not another.

Wow, the company who makes this plugin won’t offer free support. Told me I have to wait til March then pay to get an answer. Wow.

It is, and the forum is behaving strangely. If I assign users to a specific role from the usergroups it doesn’t show the forum. If I make them a moderator it does.

It still shows them as being members of the groups on the usergroup area.
