i have 2 sites on the same server that have this happening too

when i disable the betterWPsecurity plugin [ by renaming the plugin folder as i cant login to the WP dashboard]

then everything works fine [ can log into dashboard , site displays content instead of no content and dont get an email every minute or 10 mins ]

im keen to keep the protection up – i use wordfence too – and its found no bugs/ malware etc

do you think its the error log size? as i always use this plugin on many other sites and dont have issues with any of them [ except these 2 ]

im glad [ and sad ] that others are having this issue

out of interest my cPanel hosting provider said this

“Our cPanel servers have always been patched and as such its actually not a symlink issue as claimed by Larry.”

some of my client “client themselves” installed sites have had this happen to them…

all my big installs / own sites ive created for clients have betterwp security plugin installed and configured pretty tight – NONE of these sites have been hacked

so my suggestion is remove / replace the 3 files as mentioned above

index.htm [ remove ]
index.php [ replace from a downloaded version of wp 3.4.2 ]
header.php [ replace from a downloaded version of your theme from inside the theme of the themes folder ]

AND then install and configure betterwpsecurity plugin….

just my 2 cents worth…

by the way – all seemed to be twenty eleven or twenty ten – does this help with diagnosing for the super tech heads out there? [ might be unrelated as most client installs themselves prob use this theme anyway… ]

no custom WP = just plugins added..

ive fixed the issue by copying via my cPanel the facebook plugin 1.0.2 folder and first deleting the facebook 1.1.1 plugin folder from my daily backup – thanks wpbackup ??

FYI – i see many people are saying 1.1.1 is broken with 3.4.2

i believe im having the same issue as a few of you above ^^

my showcase template page has sidebar template’s widgets aswell in an extra sidebar on the right hand side – to clarify – its not supposed to have the extra area on the right hand side with widgets – off into the border area.. if you see the site you will understand what im [trying] to say.

by inspecting elements :-

nav#access is the whole area highlighted

ive copied the html “inside” and looked at it but its not helping me

ive search the stylesheet for “nav#access” but it doesn’t exist.. searched for “nav” exists in quite a few spots

how do i get all the menu items to take up all that space? instead of rolling over to the second line when i add another menu item [ and use the space where the search box used to be ]
