Depends on the fron end login widget? Does this widget replaces WordPress Authentication? We recommend you use the regular WordPress Authentication functionality.

Authy is fully tested only with WordPress regular Authentication. If it doesn’t work with your current front-end login widget, it might be this widget is replacing normal WordPress Authentication.

This was happening as we failed to verify the SSL response but were not printing the error back to the user. We added the proper check and log.
