Hi Pascal – many thanks for responding. So now I have to admit – I havn’t got a clue what to do with that code ! Do I create a new file, edit an existing file ? Or wholly Replace an existing file ? and if so where does that file live ? Sorry – never edited PHP before ??

AH ! You cracked it – No users had any permissions set at all ! So I checked all those boxes and the whole thing came back to life. Thanks so much !

I checked our PHP and its set to 7.0.30 and WP is 5.0.3

The site is hosted on Amazon Lightsail – I have no idea if I can update PHP or even how to do it.

Do u think I am ok with PHP 7.0 ?

OK – the missing piece of info was adding that line to the config file. When I did that my API Credential boxes magically appeared in the plugin – I could enter them and then my backup was successful.

The maps just started working – perhaps it took some time for the API to register with Google – I don’t know – but yes its OK now. the date formats are still a bit of a problem – The Plugin doesn’t seem to recognize the recommended date formats – and the squished ticket types are also an issue when used.

I rested just to make sure I am getting the same problem and its still is not working.

Currently I have a foreign IP
The Plugin is correctly reading my current IP as the foreign IP
I have a different IP listed in the whitelist.
I only have one IP listed in the whitelist.

Yes. I have a static IP at my office – thats the IP I white listed.

I then changed my IP to another part of the country and saw no difference logging in to my site.

That is the issue.

Update – my testing was done on a Windows Server. On an Apache server it works OK.

I have a new WP 4.1 site. I loaded this plugin, logged out tried to log and get Page Not Found at my /login URL

I could not login at all as the regular wp-admin was also locked out as expected

I had to delete the plugin folder and managed to log again the regular way.

Deleted the plugin – reinstalled reactivated – tried again.

Same issue – locked out again.

It doesn’t work. I cant do a more basic test than that.

I used to use it and it worked fine but something has broken and it needs attention and careful testing.

Also just a follow up to this, Yoast is not creating the robots.txt file – isn’t it supposed to do that ?
