I tried adding in the the footer code and didn’t really like it, but I am good with the way things are now so I will let that go for now.

Did you see my last post?
I am conversing with someone else about this too and they said that this part is a problem.

Ugh! Never mind, when I remove the “static” in red, it changes all the other pages back to having something I already fixed. This is so frustrating! I wish I understood this code stuff…

So, where I am at now is that all my other pages in the menu are perfect. I don’t want any of them to change at all. Only the home page. I just want that inch or so of background image to get out of there behind the menu and my picture slider to move up to the original position.

So, I removed “static” from the css, because it was red, and it minimized the background much more, but there is still about a 1/2 inch up there…

anything else I can do?

I really don’t know anything about code…so I don’t know how to fix it.

Yes, I am using the simple custom css/JS that you have linked there. Does this one slow down the site?

Should I move all my codes over to the appearance>customize>additional css?

Actually, something happened to the home page header after I entered that first code. All the other pages are just fine. But there is a background image now behind the home page menu.

I want only the slider to be behind the menu as is was to begin with, the full view slider only.

The first code you gave to change the menu area worked PERFECTLY! Thanks.

But, the second code changed only the space under the white footer area and made the background image zoom in.

What I want is for the blog posts page to have a wider margin between the words on the white text page and the edge of the page.
